Rated 5 out of 5 by from great results We started giving these to our 3 yr old golden 5 months ago. She was afraid to jump in and out of our car i think due to joint stress. After going on Cosequin, she jumps in and out like nobody's business. Much more spry. Her coat is also the shiniest its ever been.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from They really really smell awful. I bought a bag of these after my dog had spinal cord surgery. He won't eat them unless I bury them in cheese. The smell almost gags me every time I open the bag. I'm determined to use them all because I don't want to waste the money, but I won't buy this brand again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yum My dogs are 8 and 9 so the years are creeping up on them I started this about 6 months ago to hopefully prevent aches in the future. My dogs think it is their bedtime treat. They sit without being asked and wait for the treat, they love these yummys

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad batch? Dog is sick now. My dog ate these for about 2 weeks and is now in and out of the vet with kidney issues. These came a bit slimy and smelled foul. She won't go near them now. Not sure what is wrong. Be cautious when feeding these to your dog.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beware Purchased this product to help my Maltese with her mobility. Unfortunately, I had to stop giving these to her because these chews have dyes in them. She developed severe staining under her eyes. Typically, I check all her food and treats to make sure there are no added dyes but it never occurred to me that these Cosequin supplements would contain additives. My bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great I bought these soft chews because my dog wouldn't eat the other "hard" chewables. I break these up on her food and she eats them like they're a treat.

Are these safe for a dog that has had bladder stones in the past?

Asked by: MellieP
Cosequin is sometimes recommended by some veterinarians to help with urinary problems. It seems that glucosamine (found in cosequin) may help support the protective wall of the bladder from irritation and can also be used in dogs with recurrent bladder problems. Supplementation with Omegas (30mg/kg DHA) can also help manage bladder health. Omega fatty acids (also found in Cosequin) have anti-inflammatory properties and can help decrease inflammation if your pet is currently being treated.

What does the DS stand for?

Asked by: MamaP
From my understanding, the "DS" stands for "Double Strength", though I have not actually done the math on it's ingredients. The main thing, at least from my experiences, is that the "DS" version of is product works better than the standard version,  and Cosequin, the product,  works EXCELLENT for my dog!
