Don’t fix what wasn’t broken
My dog has had this food for months due to G.I. issues and food allergies. She was doing amazing BUT Hill’s changed the formula without warning. The new formula is so severely different. She barely eats it and I have no idea what I’m going to do because this food will not work. I’ll most likely go to another brand because there’s nothing comparable from Hill’s now. I wish there would have been a new formula with the option to purchase the original. What a disaster! At least, if there had been a warning or some kind of notice, a gradual transition might have helped. I’m so beyond frustrated and luckily I have some of the original kibble left because the canned variety isn’t going to work for my pup.

Z/D Different size color and look
Normally this food is dark and flat. Last bag I got was puffy and light brown. Different from the norm. Z/D diet works great for my poodle who has IBD. The last 2 bags we got were a different color and size.

Brand New Dog
My Freddie got the bloodwork at vet, he is allergic to all animal protein and lots of outdoor allergens. We started him on Hills ZD per veterinary recommendation. He loves the food, eats it right up. And the terrible rash, itching and licking to raw skin is gone in three days. He is 5 years old and back to acting like a puppy! Rash and itching gone!

A NEW DOG AGAIN!
My dog Chloe isn't a spring chicken anymore and developed a really bad yeast infection turned into a secondary bacterial infection. Made a trip to the vet and suspected Chloe's food was the culprit #1. We changed Chloe's food to Hills Canine z/d and Chloe is a new dog! She has a spring back in her step and pretty much a new dog! I wish we had switched her food before to became a problem! I am beyond thrilled to have my baby back feeling good again!

My dog is happy again!
My dog started having horrible skin issues, she was itching/licking herself constantly, her skin was black and leather-like, she had constant ear infections, and had less energy and she started losing a lot of hair on her stomach. After a few months of trial and error with our vet, they recommended switching to this food. Ever since she has been on this food her skin condition has healed, she's had her hair grow back, her ears haven't had any issues and she has more energy. Even though the food is pricey seeing my dog back to her normal self is worth it. Only downside is since she's been on this food her nose is extremely dry and it's cracking. We're going back to the vet and will talk about this but it is her only side effect from the food so far and it doesn't seem to bother her at all.

I pray this is the answer
I have only just started feeding my Sadie this food, she has had a terrible time with diarrhea and vomiting liquid. She is on meds and eating well, she loves the food. I don't know if this is the answer to her problem but I am praying it is . Still waiting for test results.
