Wellness Small Breed Super5Mix Healthy Weight Recipe Dry Dog Food contains L-Carnitine which has been said to help utilize fat by transforming it into energy. Increasing energy levels will help dogs want to become more active, thereby helping them lose weight. It includes glucosamine and chondroitin due to the stress the hips and joints may be placed under supporting an overweight dog. It contains nutrient-rich whole grains, like oatmeal and rye flour and is corn-free which may be suitable for dogs that have corn allergies. In addition, it can be fed to senior dogs that may be developing a slower metabolism.
Directions:
- Feed to small breed dogs to help maintain a healthy weight or promote weight loss in overweight dogs.
- Slowly transition your dog from his or her current diet to their new food. Mix your dog's old food and Wellness Small Breed Super5Mix Healthy Weight Recipe together over a period of 5-7 days, and gradually increase the amount of new food daily so that by day 7 your dog is eating 100% new food.

Good Food
My Yorkie has been on Wellness Small Breed Super5Mix for a few years now and its great! She began eating without any problems. Really seems to like the small pieces too! She's never been overweight and she certainly isn't overweight now. Still has the energy of a puppy. So playful and always ready to run!

For my furkids
I have two chihuahua's one is 3.2# and a year old. Tinkerbelle was a rescue and came to me on Royal Canine. Had to many grians and I switched them both to Wellness. They love it. They maintain a good healthy weight and their gums are nice and pink. I think it is a great food for my little ones. Their health is the most important thing to me and Wellness keeps them very healthy and happy.

Great Purchase!
My two miniature pinschers were starting to look a little "round" due to the lack of activity in these cold winter months. They have always eaten the Wellness Small Breed, but I was thrilled when I saw that it now came in the "Healthy Weight" formula. My dogs, Foxy and Honey love it. I don't even have to put extras, such as a baby carrot, in with the food to entice them. I did have to do that before. I'm confident that they will be looking nice and trim for swimsuit season!

Didn't work out
I swtiched from Orijen to Wellness to help my doxie lose some weight. My dogs ate one bowl of Wellness, and didn't touch it at all after that. I switched back to Orijen and now they are both eating again.
