What is Proudsoff Proud Flesh Ointment?
Proudsoff Proud Flesh Ointment is for use in the control and removal of proud flesh (unsightly growth of tissue and blood vessels around a healing wound) from horses, cattle, sheep and goats. It effectively removes proud flesh leaving healthy tissue and reduces scarring. Easily applied and effective, it's painless to use.

How does Proudsoff Proud Flesh Ointment work?
Proudsoff Proud Flesh Ointment contains 45% cupric sulfate to remove proud flesh on horses.
Cautions:
Do not use on dogs, cats, or other household pets. Avoid contact with eyes and with normal tissue. Do not use on wounds that do not contain proud flesh. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after applying this product to your horse. If swelling or irritation increases or persists after using this product for several days, discontinue its use and consult a veterinarian.
Proudsoff Proud Flesh Ointment Directions:
- Cover entire area affected by proud flesh with a thin coating of Proudsoff Proud Flesh Ointment once daily.
- Dead tissue and debris from previous use must be removed before each application. This can be done with cotton or soft gauze. Do not wash the lesion.
- Discontinue use when all proud flesh has been removed.
Tip:
Do not use on wounds that do not contain proud flesh.
