No more pulling!!!
After attending a 6 week dog obedience class I was taught how to control a pulling dog with a choke collar. At the last class I saw people applying this collar and asked what it was for. I have no clue why the instructor never had me use it. I bought the Gentle Leader and it actually made a difference in her excitement too. The way it works is when the dog pulls, there is a strap that goes around the snout, when the dog pulls it pulls their head to which ever side the leash is on. So instead of pulling forward, they can't accomplish what they want! I had a 40lb Golden/Sheltie mix who was dominant and a wild girl! I spent so much money on harnesses and anything else that might help. The Gentle Leader is the best aid in training a pulling dog. I couldn't recommend it more.

She ate it
I have a husky we tried walking her for a week and she was ok with it until she saw another animal then she would pull and cut her nose. One day I stopped to tell someone directions for a second and she pulled the strap from her nose and bit right threw the strap.

What is Premier Gentle Leader HeadCollar for Dogs?

The Premier Gentle Leader HeadCollar for Dogs is great for dogs that tend to pull, lunge or jump while walking. It provides gentle, immediate control over your pet and never chokes him or her. The Premier Gentle Leader HeadCollar for Dogs is not a muzzle, so your pet can eat, drink and play as normal. It's comfortable for your dog and never falls off due to the adjustable nose loop. In fact, it's so comfortable your pet can wear it up to 18 hours.

For:

Dogs (8 weeks of age or older)

Benefits:

  • Stops pulling, lunging and jumping
  • Provides immediate, gentle control
  • Painless and doesn't choke your dog
  • Your dog can eat, drink and play with it on
  • Recommended for dogs 8 weeks of age or older
  • Available in small, medium and large & 3 different colors

How it Works:

The reason why the Premier Gentle Leader HeadCollar for Dogs works so well is because all the pressure is applied to the back of the neck and not the front of the throat. The Premier Gentle Leader HeadCollar for Dogs is not a muzzle, so your pet can continue to eat, drink, fetch, and even bark with it on. Once fitted properly, the Premier Gentle Leader HeadCollar for Dogs will never slip off so there is no need for double-leashing. It also converts into a regular collar for your convenience.

Cautions:

Follow the instructions carefully when fitting and using on bulldogs and other breeds with genetically limited airways or flat noses. It is typical for these dogs to frequently experience difficulty breathing when exercising or under stress because of their physically limited airways. If their usual breathing difficulties increase when wearing the headcollar, immediately discontinue and consult a veterinarian.

Directions:

  • Read the insert carefully for complete fitting instructions.
  • Watch the DVD for comprehensive training.
  • Improper fit will cause your dog to paw and resist the headcollar.
Tip:

Reward your dog with treats throughout the fitting process.
