Customer Reviews
Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Pet is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 54.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dogs love it! I started squeezing the inside of the soft gels on my dogs' food at dinner time and they eat with gusto! Too early to tell but I understand consistency is key!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great results Our 8 yr old Lhasa Apso dog developed itching in her paws and licked them so much she got an infection in them and also had redness in her ears from allergies and itching. Treatment from the Veterinarian gave relief for barely 1 day before she was itching and licking like crazy again. We started her on 1 capsule of the Nordic naturals each day. It has only been 5 days but her itching is apparently MUCH better as she is rarely licking her paws now. We are very optimistic that this may be the solution for her. Yay!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Renewed energy and happiness. Woody has been mourning the death of her pal in February. She has arthritis and has been in pain. She is taking something for the pain which really seems to help, but she had no energy. She started taking the Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Pet. Within a week she had that sparkle back in her eye and she was excited to go outside. She is back visiting her friends on our mountain. Her skin is better and she has a shiny coat. We are so pleased with her improved health. We recommend this product for the health of your dog. Know she is feeling better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! My pomeranian has been on the Nordic Naturals Omega-3 soft gels for 3 years now. This supplement isn't a "quick fix" for people with animals who expect this. I recommend continuing this supplement for at least 1 year to see the results. He was experiencing severe hair loss over his body. With continuing this supplement he has recovered all of his hair which has grown in thick & soft. This is a wonderful supplement & will continue to use it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fish oil for dogs My cardiologist suggested I give my 10 1/2 old Boxer fish oil for his ARVC heart problem instead of medicine. Three Thousand milligrams daily. He was also aysistmatic, and I did not know of his heart problem until my vet informed me of his condition. I started this daily fish program 90 days ago, and I hope good health continues for as long as possible. No problems yet! ARVC is the closing of the right ventricle of the heart. For people, a shunt is placed in that portion of the heart to keep it open. I was told The surgery was too expensive for dogs & unheard of unless you are extremely rich. So far far so good! I am hoping this will continue his normal daily life for as long as possible. I'm Very glad that you carry this fish oil for dogs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Product Three of these pills per day has transformed our aging Labrador! She has stopped leaving piles of black hair everywhere and her coat is shiny even though she now has a gray muzzle and graying feet! Rileigh loves to travel and we now take her on more trips because she doesn't shed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My collie, who has always had a a beautiful coat, is slowly dying from nasal adenocarcinoma. This was diagnosed after it was too late for successful intervention. We give this product (one - two capsules poured over her food) to mitigate the inflamation caused by the cancer. She likes the taste and will eat only if the omega oil is mixed with her food.

I've done research on lipomas and read that omega 3 can help in reducing or shrinking existing ones. I'm looking for some for my little terrier to take for her lipomas and other skin issues. Will these omega 3 capsules help?

Asked by: sheal34
Giving your dog Omega 3 fatty acids and liver support supplements can help eliminate toxic waste from your dog's body that may be contributing to the growth of fatty tumors. However, it is best to consult with your veterinarian.

Is there a difference in the omega oil supplements for humans and the ones labeled for pets?

Asked by: Odi
Hi there, some medications and supplements are specifically formulated just for pets. You would want to speak to your vet prior to using human medications/supplements on your pet.

is this made in America?

Asked by: toni
Thank you for your question. As per the company, "Like our human formulations the omega-3 pet oil is from Sardines and Anchovies caught in the deep cold waters of the South Pacific off the coast of Peru. The oil is purified at our facility in Norway and either encapsulated and bottled – or just bottled – at our facility in Southern California. "

I have read that you should multiply your dog's weight by 20 to get the amount of EPA your dog should have in the Omega 3 supplement. Is this correct

Asked by: Jay
Thank you for your question. Yes, this is correct.
