Product Info
What is Dasuquin Soft Chews For Dogs?

Dasuquin Soft Chews provide comprehensive joint health for dogs. They contain proprietary ingredients, which go above and beyond standard glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate supplements. Plus, they are tasty and easy to administer since your dog will just think they are a treat.

For:

Dogs

Benefits:
  • Comprehensive joint support health
  • Contains glucosamine, chondroitin and ASU
  • Protects cartilage
  • Comes in a tasty soft chew
  • Allows pets to enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle
  • No adverse side effects
How it Works:

Dasuquin contains avocado/soybean unsaponifiables (ASU), which have shown to help protect cartilage and improve joint function. The ASU also helps potentiate the activity of Glucosamine and chondroitin. The combination of all three ingredients supports cartilage production and blocks enzymes that break down cartilage in your pet's body. Glucosamine is a natural compound that is found in healthy cartilage in both humans and pets. It helps hydrate healthy joints by increasing the production of molecules that bind and hold water in the cartilage. Healthy cartilage provides cushioning which helps protect a pet's joints while exercising. Further research on the effectiveness of glucosamine is still needed, but many of our customers find it to be very beneficial to their pets.

Customer Reviews
Dasuquin Soft Chews For Dogs is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cant See the Results My Lovely "Arya" has had some issues. First she ruptured her Left Knee ACL requiring TPLO surgery back in August 2016. Shortly after that I started her on Dasuquin Soft Chew for Dogs under 60lbs. We followed the directions for the first week giving her 2 a day. The first few treats of this product she ate with no problem, it was something new. Very quickly my little princess discovered it was not so much a treat and refused to take them without competition from one of her friend dogs that comes over daily. Long story I know but the fact that this product has not given her any benefit that I can see to date. Side note three weeks ago she had surgery to remove the plate installed with her TPLO surgery as it was causing a Staff infection. As soon as the plate was removed i noticed a considerable better use of her Left leg. What is normal but not so good is her Right Knee is showing what I can only say is a tear in her ACL, making her Left leg the primary and her Right going lame. We go on regular walks and I have cut her food and Treats down to manage her weight, but sorry to say she will need in time surgery for her right knee. So if you have read this comment so far you may ask what do I think of this product. My answer is I still don't know, but anyone that thinks this supplement is a cure for an issue you have with your dog I'm not sure you will get the results your looking for. You will have to give it a try and see how your dog reacts to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have to trick my 9 year old Male Boxer to eat them, mix and cover it with real good with his wet food. Can't believe his hip improvement he isn't lame as he gets up and even back to jumping up on my bed at sleep time. Also in good weather he loves to chase frisbee's and ball's so nice to seem him "not in pain anymore"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from She loves it! Our Lhasa Apso (Coco), who will be 11 this year, starting having difficulty jumping and even walking sometimes late last year. We took her to the vet, who diagnosed her with arthritis in her left knee and hip. She underwent laser therapy and was prescribed Dasuquin. She thinks it's a treat and waits in front of the cabinet for it every morning. She can walk, run and jump with no problems now. We are so grateful!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My Dog will not eat this product I purchased a bag of these so called soft chews last week and tried to feed them to my Lab mixed and she will not eat it. I tried cutting it up and mixing it into her food and she ate right around every little piece. They call these things soft chews but they are pretty hard and dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from recommend dasuquin My beagle had surgery on her knee when she was 5 years old and the surgeon recommended these every day for the rest of her life. She's done great on them and eats them right up as a treat. She doesn't even know it's medicine! She's been able to keep up being a normal dog since her surgery with the help of these tablets. I would recommend for any dog after a surgery.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works fairly well My 9-year-old chow mix has severe arthritis in her right hind knee and vet recommended these. Helps a lot, but Sissy still has bad days requiring rymadil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from it is a miracle My Harley, 11 year old American bulldog, slipped and tore her back knee which required surgery and 6-weeks recovery. Well she was a great patient & followed the vets instructions to keep inactive. Unfortunately the surgery did not fix the problem so another surgery was required. Needless to say arthritis set in & the vet recommended Dasuquin soft chews. After a couple of weeks on the chews & she is better than ever. Runs & plays with our other 2-yr old like she is a young pup. Easy to administer - just put in with her food daily

Q&A

Is Dasaquin better than Cosequin?

Asked by: Mari
Thank you for your question. Both are great products. The main difference will be the dosage of the individual ingredients in the product. Also you have to decide if your furry friend will be willing to take a tablet or soft chews. And if maximum strength or msm ( helps with inflammation) is needed.

Can a yorkie weighing 7.5 pounds take this supplement

Asked by: Monica
Thank you for your question. The Small- Medium size of the Dasaquin starts at 10lbs for dogs. We do offer other Joint Supplements that would be more suitable for a 7lbs dog. We offer https://www.1800petmeds.com/Super+Joint+Enhancer+Bite+Sized+Chews-prod278144.html You would get the Small Dog size and give (1 ) soft chew once a day.

Asked by: Billie
It can help with pain, however the Dasuquin with MSM would be a better choice to help with pain

The dasuquin with msm are just regular chew tabs. The dasuquin soft chews does not contain msm.

How is this different than my bottle I have of glucosamine chindroitin MSM joint supplement . It seems to have even more of these ingredients than the dog formula ?

Asked by: Alaska
There are several differences between Dasuquin and other glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate supplements labeled for human use sold over the counter. Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are available in differing purities and qualities; these differences could potentially affect absorption and ultimately efficacy. Dasuquin contains exclusive pharmaceutical grade glucosamine hydrochloride and low molecular weight chondroitin sulfate. Low molecular weight means the size of the compound is smaller and more easily absorbed by the digestive system than other less pure forms of chondroitin sulfate. Also, Dasuquin is manufactured following the high standards developed by the pharmaceutical industry with rigorous quality control procedures on raw ingredients and finished products. Lastly, Dasuquin is the only glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate supplement shown to be safe, effective and absorbable in dogs in published, controlled clinical trials conducted in the U.S.
