Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big difference in her joints! My vet recommended that I give my 12 yo cat Cosequin for her joints. She wasn’t as spry as she used to be. Now she is like a young cat running and jumping. Sometimes getting herself into trouble lol. I recommend this supplement and it is half the price! Thanks 800 PetMeds for putting the spring back in her step.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cats will take this with no problem My cat, Captain Jack Sparrow takes one Cosequin a day. He is eight years old. He has been on this since he was about a year old. He actually takes it to build up his bladder wall not for joint issues. I'll probably never see him have joint issues. What is so nice about these capsules is that they must either taste good or like nothing at all because I break one over Sparrow's canned dinner every night and he eats his meal just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from “A supplement that actually does what it says!” “Started giving it to my cat Kaiya when she was 5 months old, at the recommendation of my veterinarian. He explained how important it is to keep an animal’s joints lubricated. It keeps arthritis away. You can never start too early!”

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 15.5 Year old Chihuahua DOG LOVES it! Evie is 15.5 years old and has always been brave, fearless and an athlete! Her age and cateracts(one to be removed so she can see), have slowed her down but not her spirit! She will NOT take pills so the cat capsule was a BRILLIANT suggestion by my vet. I crack one open onto her dog food with her beef and cheese flavored CBD and she RuNS for joy! HIGHLY recommend it esp. if you have a fussy, I will NOT take pills kind of animal or a toothless one(Evie has all her teeth)!

Is it flavored? Will my cat notice this in her food?

Asked by: Daisy
Thank you for your question. Cosequin for Cats contains natural chicken and tuna flavored. If your cat eats dry food, the food may be moistened with a small amount of water so the powder sticks. Alternatively, the contents of the capsules may be mixed with a small amount (i.e. tablespoon) of wet or moist food to ensure your cat eats the entire amount.

Can Cosequin be used just as precaution? I have a Scottish Fold cat and I know they can have joint problems (I'm worried because he always slightly shorter, stiff tail) but right now he's still young (only 1.5 year old) and doesn't look to be in any pain

I just got this product, how long before I should notice a difference?

Asked by: Deanna
Since Cosequin is a supplement and provides nutrients to maintain your cat’s health, it works more gradually than drugs. Improvement using Cosequin can range from gradual to dramatic. Following the administration schedule on the label, we recommend an initial administration period of 4-6 weeks. Some cats may show an optimal response in a shorter period of time. The long-term maintenance level is one capsule every other day. Administration may be increased at any time depending on your cat's needs.

Can Cosequin be used for kittens?

Asked by: Jess
Thank you for your question. The product does not specify a age requirement. However dosage is initially determined by the weight of your kitty.
