How to Use
Directions:
  • Bayer Quad Dewormer Chewable Tablets for Dogs may be given directly in the mouth or offered crumbled and mixed with a small amount of food.
  • You should weigh your dog to make sure you are using the right size and number of tablets.
  • Administer to dogs and puppies older than 3 weeks and weighing greater than 2 lbs only as directed in the Dosage chart below.
  • RETREATMENT: Steps should be taken to control fleas and rodents on the premises in order to prevent reinfection; otherwise, retreatment will be necessary. This is especially true in cases of tapeworms transmitted by fleas (Dipylidium caninum) where reinfection is almost certain to occur if you do not remove fleas from your pet and its environment. If reinfection occurs, tapeworm segments may be observed within one month of the initial treatment.
Tip:

Use Home & Yard Flea Treatments to control fleas in and around your home. This will help prevent tapeworm reinfection.

Customer Reviews
Bayer Quad Dewormer Chewable Tablets for Dogs is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I’m waiting to see. I just got a puppy from a breeder and she had worms the fourth night she was with me. She’s already got her vet appointment and everything but I simply couldn’t wait for her to got to the vet. I consulted a couple of people at my job cause I’m a dog groomer but I work in a pet store. They told me just get a dewormer and then that’ll help and not to spend extra money on vet bills. So that’s what I did tonight I bought a box for puppy’s and she weights 4.2 pounds so she took half a pill and she reluctantly took it but with the help of a chicken nugget she guzzled it down. Less than an hour later she poops worms, and it’s legit white with spots of brown. I was super happy now she’s running around, she’s not whining like before. I’m so happy. My poor Izabella

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY!!!! Do not waste your money on this unless your dog is HIGHLY food driven. I purchased the largest dose for my GSD and he refuses to eat it. First I coated it with peanut butter (what I normally do with his pills). He spat out the 1st pill and wouldn't even lick the peanut butter off of it, so I wrapped it in cheese. Again he turned his nose up at it and wouldn't even smell it. I then took off the cheese, scraped off the peanut butter, crushed both pills and mixed in a small amount of the crushed pills with a scoop of peanut butter. He sniffed the mixture and refused it again. Now, let me add that this is a 100lb male German shepherd and he hasn't eaten since yesterday evening. I offered him a piece of kibble and he inhaled it which tells me he is very hungry and (should) be happy to accept peanut butter (his favorite treat). I'm getting frustrated at this point. This dewormer is not cheap and he needs to ingest this medicine, so I pull out my ninja food processor and start working on a solution. I put the enierty of both crushed pills (and the spoonful of peanut butter with some of the pill) in the ninja and add another one of his favorite foods (apples) with a few table spoons of water. This boy would live off apples and peanut butter if I let him, so I'm thinking SURLY the puréed apple will mask the crushed pills and he will find it (somewhat) palatable. I even took it a step further after pulverizing the mixture to pure liquid and poured it over half a scoop of his food (Victor High Pro+)..... He won't even come near the bowl..... I am so frustrated with this dewormer! I will NEVER buy this again! My dog has had to have several forms of medicine in his life and I always choose pill form because I know he'd eat anything with a smear of peanut butter on it. Pill form medication gives me the peace of mind of knowing that he's ingested the full dose, which is 100% not the case here. I've coaxed him into eating (maybe) 1/4th of ONE pill out of two! If I could give this dewormer negative stars, I would. I can't even say if it is effective or not because it is so severely unpalatable that I can't even administer half a dose!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My Puppy Would Not Take It I purchased this for my 2 pound 8 week old puppy. She would not take it. I tried wrapping it in a little piece of cheese and she would eat the cheese and spit out the pill. The pill is very hard for a little puppy to chew. I decided to chop and melt it in a spoon with water. She still spit it out. This medicine was expensive for me. I will just take her to a vet for liquid medication. I can't say if this medication works or not. All I can say is that I don't think these pills are good for very tiny puppies.

Do I give me 2 lb 8 weeks old dog 0.5 one time or do i do 0.5 for 4 days weeks??? How do I know if its working?

Asked by: Britnee05
Thank you for your question. For a 2 lbs puppy older than 3 weeks your giving 1/2 a tablet for initial dose . Since most puppies are born with worms it is recommended to deworm a puppy at 2, 4, 6, 8 and 12 weeks of age unless otherwise directed by a vet. And then every three months for life with an all-wormer.

I have a 7 lbs dog that has a tapeworm, I gave her one pill do I give her one pill each day? There's 4 pills in the box.

Asked by: Andrea
Thank you for your question. Dewormers are used to treat active worm infestations and are typically effective with one treatment. For heartworm, hookworm, and roundworm prevention, products such as Heartgard and Sentinel are recommended and given once monthly.

For a dog 12 lbs should I give a total if 1.5 tablets over what period of time, or all at once? Or give the entire package 1.5 tablets at a time?

Asked by: Jennifer cink
The medication effectively remove tapeworms, hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms with a single dose. For a dog 8-12lbs single dose would be 1.5 tablet. If your pet gets reinfected with worms you can redose after 3 weeks.

My dog has lots of tapeworms. She is small. I gave her only the one pill. Do I only give her 1 pill once and wait? and how long do I wait before I re-dose?

Asked by: Confused
Thank you for your question. One dose should be sufficient. However if it is necessary to redose you may do so after 3 weeks.
