- But a good place to start is with the below guidelines for an average, active, adult dog fed once daily.
- Making the Switch to Pro Plan:
- Although you'll be anxious to see the difference Pro Plan can make in your dogs please allow 7-10 days to ease the transition from your dog's current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more Pro Plan until you're feeding Pro Plan exclusively.

Really makes a difference with allergies
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 3 year old white pitbull that has always had very sensitive skin and allergies that have been hard to pinpoint. Unfortunately he had to have two surgeries and months of meds last year, which also gave him a sensitive tummy and acid reflux. We’ve had him on purina sensitive skin and stomach for quite sometime and I truly think it’s made a difference with the skin allergies. Between this food and some minor lifestyle changes, we have not had to refill the Apoquel prescription this year. His fur is very shiny, smooth, and even. I think it’s made a difference in his bowel movements as well. We’ve been able to get the acid reflux under control more with the Purina Forti Flora probiotic pouches. I plan on keeping my dog on this food for life.
