My dogs are thriving on a vegetarian diet!
My German shepherd is 16 and due to allergies I put her on a vegan diet six years ago. She stopped itching and has been thriving ever since! Our vet is amazed and has been recommending a vegetarian diet to other pet parents whose dogs have issues. My 10-year-old pittie mix also loves this food and gets compliments on his shiny coat. I mix this with natural balance vegetarian and they both love it!

Great as TOPPER ONLY
Dogs are not vegetarians, so it's important this not be fed exclusively as a meal. We use it as a topper to our dogs' dry foods and they lick their bowls clean.

Vegetarian does not mean a vegetarian diet
I agrée with the other review of this product - dogs and cats need meat and balanced nutrition/protein. However, this food is a vegetable BASE, intended to be mixed with the meat of your choice (they have buffalo, chicken, rabbit, etc) to customize your dog’s diet. It’s not balanced nutrition on its own.

Please, just NO.
Please don't give your dog or cat this food. Cats especially, but it's not good for dogs either. Cats are OBLIGATE CARNIVORES. Cats literally CANNOT DERIVE NUTRITION from the ingredients in this food. If you don't believe me, look on legit websites like PetMD. It is appalling that Evangers, who make a lot of good pet foods, would market this food to cats, preying on their owners' tendency to anthropomorphize their pets. Please do not try to impose human dietary choices and beliefs onto your pets. Dogs and cats are not people. They will end up malnourished.
