Best Food Ever!
I fed I/D to my 2 cats, Jake and Elwood, for 14 and 16 years respectively. They loved it! Early on, Jake had problems digesting whatever I'd been feeding them and the Dr recommended I/D. I'm so glad she did!

Good product, bad packaging
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat loves the food but still occasionally has digestive issues. Also, the vet has said he should only eat dry food occasionally for various reasons. The main problem with the food is the packaging - I am looking for another product that is packaged in a recyclable bag. Hill's does not seem very concerned about the environmental impact of their products.

I Have A Whole New Cat
When I took my cat to the emergency vet, I didn't think she would be coming home. She had gone downhill so fast. After a couple days she was sent home with a prescription for i/d and within a couple weeks I had a whole different cat. Her ribs and spine are no longer sticking out, her coat is beautiful, her tummy is round, and she is out and about, demanding attention. I look at her and am amazed. The only problem is that the other animals in the house - 2 other cats and a dog - think i/d is as delicious as she does.

New formula NOT good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have loved this food for a decade. My cat has loved it too. My 17 yr old cat has eaten it and had fantastic results controlling his I/D with it UNTIL now. I am attempting to transition to new formula but have been on step 1 for 4 days and he is vomiting and has diarrhea. All of which the old formula had been very effective at controlling. Not sure what to do now? Disappointed in hills science diet for changing a recipe on a food that is clearly for cats that have major issues with digestion.

This food really helped my cats!
This particular prescription diet has really helped our 15 year old female cat. She has a sensitive stomach and has been very prone to hairballs and vomiting. I/d has really calmed her stomach down. She's also been able to gain a little bit of needed weight. Our 13 year old male cat with hypertension and hyperthyroidism also has a sensitive stomach and needs to gain weight. This has been a very good dietary solution for him.

Made My Cat's Situation Worse
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat has had bouts of diarrhea for the last month and we suspect he has IBD or some sort of food allergy. I read up on this food and was happy to see that this helped so many kitties w/ the same issue but in fact it made my cat's diarrhea worse and now he has a scooting issues as well. If you are looking to try this, make sure you have a backup plan in case.
