disappointed
I am always trying to find healthier food for my 7 cats that won't break the bank. I wanted to try Taste of the Wild because I thought it was supposed to be a higher quality food. I was very disappointed to learn that the first ingredient in the venison flavor was chicken meal! I will not be purchasing this product again.

Only the best for our kitties.
Me and my wife are basically raising a cat family. Since moving to a house in the country the number has gone from 4 mature cats to 13 total cats. All 9 new ones are under 3 years of age 6 are 1 year or younger. We believe in feeding them only high quality food because we want them to be healthy and happy (and they are that) and it also saves money later by having less health issues and therefore vet visits. We tried different foods in the begging but Taste off the Wild was by far the choice foe our cats. The wholesome ingredients and probiotics are just what they need an the fact that it's chicken free means all 13 can eat the same food. We also fees them the cans several times a week. We get so many comments about how healthy our kitties look and we alway tell people that it's because we feed them exclusively Taste of the wild c at food. We get the Canyon River feline 15 pound bag every single week as well as 18-24 cans and week. We believe our babies are worth it and your really can see just how healthy and beautiful they are. Thanks foe makings this wonderful food force our beloved kitties.

Affordable and Healthy
I prefer giving my cat different brands of dry food time to time and varying as many brands as possible. However, I realised that the periods my cat had Taste of the Wild were the healthiest periods of her lifetime. Whenever she eats Taste of the Wild, her coat gets shinier, loss of fur is minimum and she is more active, more responsive and healthy. This food doesn't have grains and is one of the best dry food for the price / value. I guess I will change my habit on varying the food and stick with this food forever !

Amazing changes!
I have two 4yr old male short hair tabbys who love this food. They are both indoor cats and used to be on Purina one... They did ok on that food but I noticed they were getting a little chubby so I decided to switch and see what the "grain free" fuss was all about I had my doubts, but after a few weeks I saw major changes to both my boys! Shiny soft fur, more active/playful, less shedding and they both lost the extra weight! I will switch flavors occasionally so they don't get bored with the same one everytime but I know they love it! I supplement with wet food once a week to make sure they are getting enough moisture in their diet too. Chip was soft already but now he's soft like a bunny and Dale who didn't have a soft coat before is too! I would say the shedding even in the spring has decreased significantly! Glad I made the switch!

Garth threw up constantly since he was a kitten. I tried at least a half dozen cat foods before i landed on this one...Salmon Flavor. He doesn't throw up any more. The improvement began with his first bowl of Taste of the Wild. He likes the taste (actually all he ever says is "Meow, Meow, Meow...but he eats it willingly), and so does his 'brother'. Best cat food
I have tried so many brands in the last ten years. I have a cat that always throws up for no reason, I switched to Taste of the Wild venison and since then no cats are throwing up! I have 4 cats, two Maine Coons and I clean up after them constantly. I switched to this food about 6 months ago and haven't had to clean anything up! They love it and I also see a difference in their coats, they are shiny and softer. They seem to be more energetic too! I am so glad I came upon this brand and I recommend it to anyone with cats. My cats are indoor too! So I believe they are getting nutrients that are healthy for them.

What is Taste Of The Wild Dry Cat Food?

Taste of the Wild Feline Formula foods are hearty and nutritious meals for cats of all life stages. Real lean cuts of meat and fish (certified hormone free and antibiotic free) provide highly digestible sources of protein, while sweet potatoes and peas are used to provide your cat with high levels of energy. Whole fruits and vegetables provide vitamins and antioxidants to boost your cat's immune system. This natural cat food also contains proteinates (protein compounds), which help your cat's body absorb the nutrients to get the most out of the food. Taste of the Wild is grain free, which makes it a great food for cats with intolerances or allergies to grains. This dry cat food is a great complement to Taste of the Wild Canned Cat Food.

For:

Cats

Benefits:

  • Ideal for cats of all life stages (kittens to senior)
  • Grain free means no corn, wheat, soy, or fillers
  • Cats love the delicious taste of real venison (Rocky Mountain Formula) and trout (Canyon River Formula)
  • Fruits and vegetables provide natural sources of antioxidants
  • Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids help maintain healthy skin and coat
  • Taurine helps regulate heart rhythm, reproduction, digestion, and vision
  • Dried chicory root helps support a healthy digestive system
  • Naturally preserved
  • Available in 2 different sizes (5 or 14 lb. bags)
  • No toxic chemicals, artificial flavors, or artificial colors
  • Made in the USA in three manufacturing facilities (California, Missouri, and South Carolina)

How does Taste of the Wild work?

Each batch of Taste of the Wild is cooked with water that is purified through reverse osmosis, the same process used by popular bottled water manufacturers. This helps to remove any microorganisms, organic and inorganic chemicals, and ensures the meats and meat meals are steamed (cooked) with purified water. Taste of the Wild provides your cat with a hearty meal that is not only delicious but also provides essential vitamins and antioxidants to stay healthy and active.

Cautions:

None.

Taste of the Wild Feline Formula Dry Cat Food Directions:

  • Days 1 & 2: Feed 75% previous cat food and 25% Taste of the Wild.
  • Days 3 & 4: Feed 50% previous cat food and 50% Taste of the Wild.
  • Days 5 & 6: Feed 25% previous cat food and 75% Taste of the Wild.
  • Day 7: Feed 100% Taste of the Wild.
Tip:

Digestive upset caused by a diet change can sometimes be prevented by mixing some non-fat plain yogurt in with your cat's food each day during the transition. The live cultures within the yogurt will help balance the flora within the digestive system and minimize flatulence or loose stools that are sometimes associated with a diet change.
