Too Thick
I agree with the other reviewer, who said they are too thick! I have to give away 1/2 the bag, because they’re too thick for my Havanese! The package says he needs a small, for his size, but he just can’t chew the big thick ones. I’ve resorted to buying the Petite, a time or two. Those are a completely different item. Sort of a compressed stick. However, those are gone in two chomps! I’m trying to find a different solution, all together, but I still want a chew type dental stick. Not greenies, type, though. Those don’t last long, either. Ugh! Why can’t this company, just have better quality control?…

poor quality control 2020-21
I have buying these for years from my vet or local pet store . I was so pleased to find them here but the last year they have. been just way too THICK ! Our German shepherd mix loves these but she can inhale them . We were giving her one per day until they started being very thick and she later had digestive problems. We started cutting the thick ones in half which helped . Over the last year each package has gone from having a few thick ones to most of the package being very thick , so thick that tin snips won’t even cut them . I went to my local farm store and found Cow cheek rolls that. are much safer and cheaper but clean my dogs teeth just as well . One cheek roll lasts 2 weeks but the only problem is getting away from dog after her 15 mins of chew /play time . I called both CET & Pet Meds . I can no longer recommend this product and the thickness seems to be danger to dogs . Pet Meds was great and refunded our last bag ;-) but CET didn’t seem to care and tried to say it was bad to cut them in half . The thickness of each chew is the issue & the poor quality control.

Use caution
I purchased these chews to help keep my dogs' teeth clean. However, one of my dogs ate only two of them and developed diarrhea for two days. The other dog wouldn't touch them, which may have been a blessing. Not sure if he got some kind of bacteria from them but I didn't give him another one. He was fine after that.

My dog wouldn’t touch them. She sniffed at it and turned away and this is from a dog who usually loves any treat I give her. I left it out for her thinking she might change her mind but it’s been 12 hours and she still hasn’t touched it.
