Do Not Use
Prescribed by vet to my 11 year old French bulldog. She had perfect hearing prior to use and was deaf by day 4. It has been a week and heating has not returned. Do not use as hearing loss is not worth the risk!

The vet prescribed this for my 14 year old dog. After a few days I noticed she wasn't responding when I called her. She had perfect hearing and would bark when anyone walked down the hallway. Now she doesn't even hear me when I open the door. I cannot understand why the vet doesn't tell you this side effect. When I called them to let them know that my dog was now deaf they told me to bring her in. I did not because their was nothing they could do and they probably just wanted the money.

My boxer is deaf after Surolan
I purchased this two weeks ago at the direction of my vet as a precaution in case an infection contributed to her (very small) aural hematoma. After a day of Surolan I noticed she wasn’t obeying commands as much, and after two days, she was deaf. DEAF! I’m furious. They say she may or may not regain her hearing. All this “just in case” of infection. Don’t risk it. I saw another review on here about a pit bull becoming deaf. Maybe the brachycephalic (short nose, wide head) dogs are more at risk? It seems like this is a common enough side effect that vets should be responsible to know and deliver info about the risks. I’d say use this only if you have absolutely no other way and you know without doubt it’s an infection. I definitely DO NOT recommend. Only as a very last resort and then cross your fingers your dog doesn’t go dead because of it. It’s insane that losing an entire sense, possibly permanently, is considered an acceptable side effect (?!?!).

They don’t work at all.
Our vet prescribed these drops and they do nothing to relieve his persistent scratching that is obviously caused by itching that simply drives him crazy

My dog can’t heat after taking drug
Beware of this medication. Our dog was prescribed this med for an ear infection. We noticed a decline in his heating after a few days of use. It’s been about one day since he stopped using it and he can’t hear the door bell, loud knocking, etc. he has no known hearing issues prior. Hopefully it resolves. He does hear a bit when you yell. Very upsetting. Dog is healthy 13 year old lab pit mix. Boss

My vet prescribed this for a mild ear infection. After 2 days of use my dog went from being able to hear the fridge door open in the middle of the night to being 100% deaf in both ears. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT if you love your pets !

Terrible sticky mess
I’m sure it works but why did they have to make this product be essentially like putting piles of sticky glue into your pets ears? My cat’s ears and back paws are covered in a sticky, gooey film that’s going to take days to clear off after finishing treatment. I felt so bad giving him this treatment and I’m so glad it’s over.
