Our 14 year old Pin-chi loves it
Our 14 year old dog doesn't have a full set of teeth these days. She's become a pickier eater in her old age. She really only was interested in cat food wet and dry. We wanted her to get the best nutrients for her. My husband saw a commercial about this brand so we tried it, and another that was dehydrated. She liked the other too but the dehydrated, even when rehydrated have a consistency of beef jerky. It made a better treat than a meal. This brand is easy to rehydrate if you want to serve it wet. Our dog can it wet or dry, which is nice.
My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is, we get the largest bag ... This is a food that can be given to any size dog. But the largest sized bag is still small. I can't imagine how fast a large dog would go through this. It really is cost prohibitive for most people. We do subscribe and save and that adds a small saving. We used to have 3 large dogs and one small, the largest dogs were a Great Dane mix and a Lab/ hound mix. We fed them good quality food, but not a boutique style like this. They all lived long lives and now we're just recently down to our small dog. We will continue buying it because we can, it's just surprising how the most basic good dog food is expensive, but this one, which isn't even by prescription, is nearly as much as the a 17.6 lb of prescription food for our cat. So it seems exorbitant to charge this much for a non rx in such a small quantity. I have no idea how much it costs to produce, but I think they would make more over all if it wasn't so cost prohibitive for most people.
I'm sure we will continue feeding her this for the remainder of her life. It seems she likes it and we feel good that she's enjoying it and it has good ingredients. I wish it had as many if the additional beneficial ingredients as the harder one we tried, that one was a little bit less expensive for the size and it had better ingredients. I feel like we are paying way more for less.
I'm not trying to discourage anyone from buying it. If you can afford it, And it meets your needs, I think it's still a better choice than other dog foods that are out there. I just wish they would make other dog foods healthy like this so there might be a more competitive price.

My fur baby likes the freeze-dried food. I can put it out in his bowl, and he eats it when he feels hungry. The fact it takes a week to get to me after it is mailed is ridiculous. I may have to evaluate my auto-ship.

Wonderful dog food
I have two toy Pomeranians and they love this food. I saw an immediate improvement in their vitality and playfulness, even hip trouble lessened greatly. Amazing product and I highly recommend it.

Our 1 year old has been on dr Marty’s from the beginning. He runs when it’s dinner or breakfast. He LOVES the food. We make sure it’s hydrated. When shipments are delayed Hairy is not as excited with dehydrated raw alternatives.

My little Princess is ten years old but often mistaken for a puppy. She was overweight at 18 lbs. when I took over her care. Real Dog Food that my Pup LOVES
On day one I realized my dog was overly excited to eat. My dog could smell the aroma of his new food. I soaked the new food leaving my dog, anticipation and excitement levels, thru the roof. My pup ate every single morsel in his bowl. Seemed surprisingly content, also knew his belly was full.
