Baytril Otic is not for use in pets allergic to it or other floroquinolone antibiotic drugs or sulfonamides.

What should I discuss with my veterinarian before giving Baytril Otic to my pet?

Tell your veterinarian if your pet has had seizures or if the pet is pregnant or lactating.

How should Baytril Otic be given?

The usual dose of Baytril Otic (based on pet's weight) is 5-15 drops in the ear 2 times a day for up to 14 days. Thoroughly clean and dry the ear before treatment. Shake well before use. Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your veterinarian. Do not use Baytril Otic in any pet other than the pet for whom it was prescribed. Symptoms may start to improve before the infection is completely treated. If you do not understand the directions ask the pharmacist or veterinarian to explain them to you.
