- For Puppies: Start puppies on dry or moistened Purina Pro Plan Savor Shredded Chicken Dry Dog Food diet as early as they begin to nibble at solid foods, which is generally 3-4 weeks of age. For puppies six months of age, feed moistened Pro Plan moistened as much as he or she wants at intervals throughout the day.
