Cyclavance is an oral form of cyclosporine. It’s used to manage itching and inflammation associated with atopic dermatitis in dogs weighing at least 4 lbs (1.8 kg) body weight. It’s is a generic version of Atopica and is the first generic cyclosporine oral solution for dogs. Cyclavance requires a prescription from your veterinarian.

Cyclosporine is an immunosuppressant that reduces itching and inflammation in dogs associated with atopic dermatitis without the use of steroids.
Not for human use. Keep this and all drugs out of reach of children. For use only in dogs. Wear gloves during administration. Wash hands after administration. In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical advice immediately and provide the package insert or the label to the physician. Use only as directed by your veterinarian.

Cyclosporine Oral Solution
Cyclavance is indicated for the control of atopic dermatitis in dogs weighing at least 4 lbs (1.8 kg)
Tell your veterinarian if your pet has liver disease, kidney disease, cancer, high blood pressure, a viral, bacterial or fungal infection, or any other serious or chronic condition. Tell your veterinarian if your pet is pregnant or lactating, and if you plan to breed your pet.
Give orally at least one hour before or two hours after a meal, as directed by your veterinarian.
Cyclavance may cause elevated levels of serum glucose, and should be used with caution in cases with diabetes mellitus. If signs of diabetes mellitus develop following the use of CYCLAVANCE, consideration should be given to tapering or discontinuing the dose. Cyclavance is a systemic immunosuppressant that can increase your dog’s susceptibility to infection and the development of neoplasia.
If a dose is missed, the next dose should be administered (without doubling) as soon as possible but dosing should be no more frequent than once daily.
Seek emergency veterinary medical treatment.
The safe use in breeding, pregnant or lactating dogs has not been determined. Do not use cyclosporine modified in dogs with known allergy to the medication. The drug should not be used in dogs with kidney disease, stomach ulcers, and certain blood disorders. Prolonged use of cyclosporine modified can result in bacterial or fungal infection related to a decreased effect of the immune system.
Tell your veterinarian what medications your pet is currently using and any new products, including herbal remedies you may start to give.
Cyclavance should be given at least one hour before or two hours after a meal.
