Kiki and I are happy to have this food!
Vet prescribed after 17 y.o. Kitty lost weight due to high liver enzymes, dehydration and nausea. After treatments at vet (fluid therapy, anti nausea and b12 shot I brought her home and she gobbled up first whole first can after not eating for two days. I was thrilled. She has been eating it for two more days now. I'm praying she gets better, and have to say that I am grateful that she is enjoying this new food. The vet gave me a plastic cover, so it stays fresh. I wish I had been feeding her such a high quality food throughout her whole life. Well she made it to 17, but still I feel it's a great product, and that she deserves it!

New texture and hard chunks
I would like to echo what other reviewers have pointed out in the last several months. The consistency of the food is definitely different than it used to be, but there is another concerning issue. There are dry, hard chunks in the food. This has been the case for several cases over several months. I have to pick these parts out of the food and that is a waste. The company has responded by saying they test the ingredients, but maybe the ingredients aren't the issue and maybe there is some new inconsistency in a production step. I would hate to have to go through process of introducing my cats to a new food after having used this product for so many years, but I think we have to seriously consider it now. Please look into your manufacturing process.

One of my babies had surgery earlier this month and was put on this diet to help him recover. The problem is that it makes him vomit. Actually both my cats vimit after eating this. Really unsure how this is supposed to help and absolutely makes me question ever buying Hills food again!

Bad food
My cat is 10 years old and has been eating this food for at lease 8 for those years. we also feed him dry food and since i bought this last case he refuses to eat it he will sniff it and go over to his dry food. We give him a quarter of a can each morning and he used to bug me until i fed him his wet food now he just goes over to his dry food. IN reading some of the recent comments it appears some changes were made I did get him to eat some wet one morning and he threw up. Now i don't know was the problem is , whatever it is you need fix it the best by date is 08/20/2026 lot number L311044921527431

Runny and mushy
We have been using Hill's Prescription Diet i/d with Chicken Wet Cat Food for over 5 years now and we have recently seen a change in texture. It's now runny and mushy. It's seems like Hills is trying to water the mix down. It's bad enough that we have to pay ultra-premium prices for this stuff, why did you change a winning formula?

Listen to the complaints and go back to previous formula
I’ve bought this food since 2020. It’s been critical to my cats digestive health. Now all of a sudden it’s clearly changed and my cat will eat a few bites before clearly being disgusted. Then I come to the website to see a ton of other similar reviews and a canned message from the company on every one assuring that it’s all fine. It’s not - change it back. Thanks.

Mushey i/d
I've been using Hills i/d Chicken flavored wet food.for a year or two? All of a sudden the recipe changed. The consistency is mushey and wet. The morning feeding is ok, the food has good color (pink). I cover the lid saving the remainder at dinner time. (7a.m. and 5p.m.) The top layer changed color to grey? I have to scrape off the top layer and dig out the food that didn't change color! As another consumer mentioned, the cans are too big for one cat. Make it smaller, e.g. 3.3 ozs.
