Safe and effective
I regularly use this on my German Shepherds ears as they are always collecting dirt and pollen. It dose a great job at cleaning the ears while leaving a pleasant smell unlike other brands I tried. It's gentile enough to use every day but I only recommend doing this daily under a Veterinarians order as I had to. We use this about once every week or two for maintenance. It's the best and I highly recommend it.

Best ear cleaner
Both of my Bichon/poodle mix dogs have had a tendency towards ear fungal issues. But, after changing the diet to single protein Lamb kibble/and can food & grain-free diet and using Epi-Octic Advanced ear cleaner, the ear fungus is much less! This is how I clean my puppy's ears or my older dog's ears. I use the white, flat, cotton-rounds sold in the make up section at the pharmacy or grocery store. I squirt the cleaner on the cotton-round, saturating it. Then i squeeze off the excess, flip the ear over and swab the underside of the ear, and gently swab inside the outer ear canal area with the cotton-round over my pinky finger. Then i use another dry cotton-round to dry both areas. Keeping the ears clean & dry is important to ward off the fungus or bacterial infections. So cleaning and drying after bathing is a good idea. My Vet recommended cleaning the ears once a week. In my opinion, the D-Mannose ingredient is key to this product working so well. D-mannose powder is also sold in health-food stores to help with UTI infections in humans! And it works!

But don't squirt in put on a cotton ball and rubbed in ear... squirting in you scare them and you don't really know how much you are putting in their ear .
