It is generally used in conjunction with a behavior modification plan. This tasty chewable is easy to administer and only requires to be administered once daily (or as directed by your veterinarian). Reconcile Chewable Tablets require a prescription from your veterinarian.
Dogs (6+ months of age, weighing 8.8+ lbs)
Reconcile is an antidepressant belonging to a group of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI's). It affects chemicals in the brain that can cause depression, panic, or obsessive-compulsive behaviors.
Reconcile is not recommended for the treatment of aggression. It has not been tested in the treatment of other behavioral disorders. Studies to determine the effects of Reconcile Chewable Tablets in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs and in puppies under 6 months of age have not been conducted.

Fluoxetine hydrochloride
Reconcile is only for use in dogs at least 6 months of age, weighing at least 8.8 lbs. It is available by prescription only as 8 mg, 16 mg, 32 mg, and 64 mg chewable tablets. Reconcile does not act as a sedative.
Tell your veterinarian of your dog's complete health history, training history, and home environment. Tell them if you are giving your pet any other medications or supplements.
Reconcile Chewable Tablets should be given exactly as directed by your veterinarian. The recommended daily dose is 1-2 mg/kg administered once daily, in conjunction with a behavior modification plan. The chewable tablets can be given with or without food.
When taking Reconcile, some dogs may appear more calm or lethargic. Other side effects include decreased appetite, vomiting, shaking or shivering, diarrhea, restlessness, excessive vocalization or whining, aggression, ear infection, disorientation, incoordination, constipation, excessive salivation, and weight loss.
If a dose is missed, the next scheduled dose should be given as prescribed. Don't increase or double the dose.
If you give your dog more than the prescribed amount or suspect an overdose, contact your veterinarian immediately.
Do not give to dogs with a hypersensitivity to fluoxetine hydrochloride. Do not give to dogs that are pregnant, breeding, or nursing or puppies under 6 months old.
Tell your veterinarian if your dog is taking other medications, including over-the-counter and herbal supplements.
Some dogs show improvement within 1-2 weeks of starting treatment.

Store at 68-77°F (20-25°C), excursions permitted between 59-86°F (15-30°C). Do not remove desiccant from the bottle. Completely close bottle between uses.
