Rated 5 out of 5 by from Working well for generalized anxiety My dog has been on generic anxiety medicine for a year with slight results. We switched to Reconcile about a month and a half ago and I can already see a difference. It’s a chewable so I just toss it right in his food bowl.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Archie is doing good Its been almost a month on this medication. He seems to be less anxious. We also have had to not block my furniture while were out! Yay. He normally chews my couch. I feel this has helped him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from should have done this sooner I wish I had bought this product sooner...I would still have my furniture and kitchen floor and no holes chewed in my walls. I was at my wit's end because gizmo is a pet rescue and has separation anxiety . two days after starting Reconcile no more shredded anything!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lifesaver for Age-related Anxiety Our dog developed age-related anxiety around age 13 which caused him to have nightime panic attacks (panting, pawing, pacing) that over several months began to occur earlier and earlier in the day. We managed his symptoms with diazepam until it stopped being effective. His attacks became so severe that the only way we could prevent them was a maximum dose of clonazepam around the clock. We knew we had to find another alternative. Since our dog has a heart condition, he can't take Anipril. Our vet suggested Reconcile, which is OK for dogs with heart and kidney issues. After 1 week, we saw some improvement. After 3 weeks, his anxiety was significantly reduced and it is very manageable. Now he gets just 1/4 of his prior dose of clonazepam and he can rest comfortably during the day and all of us sleep at night. He seems much happier and more engaged with our family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from reconcile 64 mg The BEST Our beautiful mutt Precious is 15 1/2. She loves everyone and has always been the steadfast one in our house that had 2 dogs the sames age and 1 cat. Precious did very well until we lost her "sister Sandy" a year ago and 2 months later our cat Kelsea at age 17 1/2. She developed anxiety if left alone and also slow onset Alzheimers. With the Reconcile she is happier, her anxiety seems to be under control and we would never stop it because of the difference it has made in her life. Senilife is also fabulous for senior pets for cognitive skills.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vast improvement Recently rescued a female Scottie who is having some separation issues.....chewing at the base of her tail, constant licking and accidents. Have only had her on it for a short time but it really seems to have helped. Thanks PetMeds for providing different options for this issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life saver Rags, my Pumi, has been taking reconcile for the last 5 years. We have changed his does down and back up a few times but the medicine works really well. Some of our friends can't believe the difference in him. He is friendly and social. He even allows people to pet him. Reconcile has really made a difference in Rags.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Purchase Ever Reconcile has really helped my little girl a lot. I don't give it to her everyday, but if i am going out of town I will give it to her everyday the week before and prepare it in her food. She is then the perfect little angel. Good Bye to Separation Anxiety. No side effect or nothing. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a pet with any behavior or anxiety problems

Can this be used for cats? Waiting for prescription from vet, what are other ingredients ( inactive? )

Asked by: For cat
Thanks for your question! Unfortunately, this product should not be used in cats. The inactive ingredients include micro-crystalline cellulose, silicon dioxide, dibasic calcium phosphate dihydrate, magnesium stearate, and crospovidone per the manufacturer. These ingredients are NOT active and are mainly to assist absorption and physical integrity of the medication.

It may take several weeks to see the full effect from Reconcile. Consult your veterinarian if the problems persist to rule out other causes.

is this right for my dog?

i have a 3 year old pit/lab mix and he is the smartest dog i've ever owned. he is very well mannered and trained.about 3 months ago he started peeing on the couch whenever i would leave and when i would return he would already have his head down running for the garage (that is where his cage is).so disciplining him wasnt working because he already knew he was in trouble.so i got him neutered thinking that would fix the problem.well i thought wrong.if i leave for more than 5 mins he pees on the couch in the exact same spot everytime and its frustrating and embarrassing .is this product my solution? inputs please!!!!

This is a medication that can help with separation anxiety. If your veterinarian has already prescribed it, give it a chance to start working and then schedule a follow up with your veterinarian. You can also try making sure the pet gets daily exercise and has a safe, secure environment when you do leave home.

Anxiety decisions

My vet has had Beau on Reconcile for over a year with no mention of blood tests or how long he should be on it. It keeps him chilled except for one thing. He will not let me sleep in the bedroom. He whines and carries on until I go out to the livingroom. He does this even during the day. He used to sleep in this room and now seems to have fear of it. Beau is 13 yr. old Black Lab/Pit mix. Any suggestions?
Asked by: Esmana
Are you giving the meds in the morning? This seems to work best in the morning.
