Vet Review | As a holistic oriented veterinarian I am always welcoming natural products and alternatives to chemicals and prescription drugs. Over the past several years I have found Duralactin for dogs to be a very versatile product useful in a lot of clinical situations. That patented dried milk protein concentrate is believed to help manage inflammatory conditions long term, and I have found that this product will often effectively reduce the need for cortisone or non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs that may have side effects in dogs. I often find this all natural product increases normal activity and wellness and I have used it in chronic inflammatory conditions of the skin, respiratory and digestive tract in both dogs and cats. I have seen no side effects when using this product in dogs and give the product an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5. As I mentioned under my product review for Duralactin for dogs, Duralactin for cats is wonderful nondrug alternative choice for treating various inflammatory conditions of the skin, respiratory and digestive tract. In many cases I may often use this product as an alternative to cortisone and non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs for these conditions in our cats, which will often cut down on unwanted side effects. The patented dried milk protein concentrate is the main effective ingredient. Some cats may be sensitive to milk proteins and/or carbohydrates. If vomiting or diarrhea occurs, the product should be discontinued due to a likely allergic reaction. Because of the versatility of this product for so many feline conditions, I give this product an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5. | This wonderful whole food human grade nutritional supplement truly fills in the gaps in nutrition that are lost in the processing of commercial pet foods. Not only do the wide variety of nutrients including flax and other nutrients optimize nutrition for the dog, but the inclusion of added glucosamine also helps maintain healthy joints. I have found that when animal guardians add this wonderful formula to their canine companions' diets, that the immune systems function better, as well as there is better digestion and overall health. While I will recommend the Missing Link only formula to all of my new puppy clients, I will also recommend the Missing Link Plus Canine with Joint support to all of my senior dogs, especially those with any signs of arthritis. Most pets find this formula highly palatable, which is easy to sprinkle and mix with whatever diet is being fed. And boy, will it make that diet so much better and healthier for the pet. I therefore give this product an overall ranking of a 4.5 out of 5. |
