How does PetSafe Drinkwell Pet Fountain Cleaning Kit work?
The PetSafe Drinkwell Cleaning Kit brushes feature a plastic molded handle, a flared sponge tip for deep cleaning, and vinyl wraps to protect the wire shaft from rust. They work with all PetSafe Drinkwell fountains.
PetSafe Drinkwell Pet Fountain Cleaning Kit Directions:
- Refer to the manual that came with your fountain for detailed cleaning directions.
- Always unplug the fountain before cleaning it to ensure your safety.
- Use the largest brush with a soft sponge to clean the larger areas, and use the side bristles to remove debris and food particles from the water bowl.
- For hard-to-reach areas, use the medium-sized brush.
- Use the smallest brush to clean crevices and corners, such as those within the filter housing and water pump.
Tip:
For optimal performance, it is recommended to clean Drinkwell Pet Fountain pumps at least once a month. It is also advised to clean the fountain and replace the filter while cleaning the pump. In households with multiple pets, it may be necessary to clean the fountain every two weeks.
