- Administer the appropriate dosage for your dog according to the Initial Administration Period directions in the chart below. The recommended Initial Administration Period is 4-6 weeks. Some dogs may respond sooner.
- The number of soft chews may be reduced to the Maintenance Level according to the dosage chart below following the Initial Administration Period.

Distinct chemical odor
I have not been using these long enough to know if they are effective. My rating is based on the the claim that they are a soft and "flavorful" chewable. My Chihuahua will not take them unless they are placed in food with a strong odor. I cannot blame him. They have a distinct chemical odor and since dogs select food items by smell, not taste, he will not touch them. I even tasted them and they definitely have a chemical taste as well. I mold braunschwieger around them to get him to take them and that works but will not buy them again. I might as well buy pills instead of chewables if I have to put them in food.

Our 10# Peke was diagnosed with congenital arthritis of her right 'elbow' [as her DVM terms it] a few years ago and since then, has been on a monthly regimen of Adaquan injections. More recently, our vet strongly suggested a daily dose of Glucosamine/Chondroitin ~ however, other brands we'd tried in the past were just not to her "taste" > too dry, too large, & too "whatever"! Having found Cosequin Minis with MSM has been a Godsend > she LOVES them, and cannot wait for her "bedtime chewy treat" each night! The fact that they also contain Omega-3 is a real plus > Aniela's fur is really healthy & shiny [we keep her full-coated] as well as her skin. She's been on the maintenance dosage of 1/day for over a year, and moves without any hint of stiffness nor pain despite being just shy of 7 years. As an aside, the packaging is just as described: very easy to to open & reseal and really keeps the chews fresh for the entire 45 days. Great product, great price!! My Angel is more active
I had brought my little dog to her yearly vet visit and because she is a long body dog her vet said she’ll age and have back troubles as she ages. Well as a senior myself and her owner I too hear that from a doctor...so I bought this and my Angel is now active again and she’s not struggling to jump for her frisbee and toys. Thanks Cosequin.
