We're in-between
I have been purchasing the canned low-fat digestive dog food because my dog has thickening in his colon and swollen lymph nodes but all his workups just came back negative. My vet thinks stress colitis and reflex. He's been on this food for about 1 month and his GI problems are much better but now he has developed allergies and it could be a nut allergy. I'm unhappy that you don't make a low fat digestive canned and dry food that doesn't have crushed pecan shells. So I have to outweigh the benefits and make a decision to keep him on the low fat which is better for his GI system or try the canned that's not low fat and clear his nut allergies.

Don’t even think of trying anything else. My slogan as you know the best, forget the rest. Goal science diet, yippee and thank you.
over the years we have had five dogs. Two or pedigree, and the others were all rescues,, all from dogs being treated poorly badly, but owned by private people. Those last three they had rotten teeth, horrible coats, some had hardly any hair, no eyelashes, no belly, hair, overgrown, coral, toenails, etc. they always have been fed science style and sensitive stomach, occasionally they were fed other science varieties. The golden retriever male to be 14, the veteran terrier lived to be 15. Our current female rat terrier is now 16 and the vet said she might even make 20 or more. Love, attention, understanding, patience, and fantastic food along with fabulous veterinarians and normal care have kept them all alive. Did I mention they all were always on only science diet canned and dry thank you.

Excellent food that my sheltie loves
Just before my sheltie puppy reached 1 yr old my vet recommended I switch to Hills Science diet. She said it’s what she feeds her dogs. My sheltie is 18 months now and is thriving. She has a gorgeous coat, healthy supple skin, and no gastrointestinal issues with this formula. Her stool is very compact so I know she’s getting optimal nutrition absorbed from the kibble. She’s a healthy happy girl. I’m also switching her treats to Hills. I trust your science. Thanks. -Finns mum

burned smell in dog food
Purchased hills science diet sensitive stomache and skin for my dog Upon opening the can, the food smelled like burnt. Wondering why, hopefully the recipe was not burnt and canned anyway. My Schnauzer smelled the food and walked away. I threw it away.
