Dogs and Cats
Dorzolamide / Timolol Eye Drops contain Dorzolamide HCl, a topical carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, which works by decreasing the amount of fluid within the eye. It also contains active ingredient Timolol Maleate, which is a beta-blocker, a medicine used to reduce pressure.
If your pet has an allergic reaction to Dorzolamide / Timolol Eye Drops, discontinue use and consult your veterinarian. Signs of an allergic reaction include redness, itching, and eyelid irritation.

Dorzolamide HCl / Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Solution
Dorzolamide/Timolol Eye Drops are indicated in the treatment of conditions that cause pressure due to fluid buildup in the eyes, such as glaucoma and other eye diseases. It can be used in dogs and cats and requires a prescription from your veterinarian.
Let your veterinarian know if your pet has an allergy or sensitivity to this or any other medication. Let your veterinarian know if your pet has other heart conditions. Beta blockers like Timolol should be used with caution in cats with asthma as it could trigger an asthma attack. Timolol should also be used with caution in animals with congestive heart failure. Let your veterinarian know if your pet is pregnant, lactating, or may be used for breeding.
Dorzolamide/Timolol Eye Drops should be applied directly to the affected eye(s). The usual dose is one drop to the affected eye(s) twice daily or as directed by your veterinarian. Make sure not to allow the tip of the dropper to touch any surface, including your pet's eye, to avoid contamination,
Itching, redness, or eyelid irritation may occur. Discontinue use and contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any of these signs. Timolol may cause the pupil (black part) of the eye to become smaller.
If you miss a dose, administer it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your pet’s next dose, skip the missed dose and resume the regular dosing schedule. Do not double dose.
Seek emergency veterinary medical treatment.
To prevent contamination of dropper, avoid touching the tip of the dropper to any surface, including your pet’s eye and eyelid.
Certain drugs, including some used to treat high blood pressure and diabetes, may interact with Dorzolamide / Timolol Eye Drops. Let your veterinarian know what other medications your pet takes, including prescription, over the counter medications, and supplements.
Have a friend or family member hold your pet while you administer eye drops. If you’re still having trouble, call your veterinarian for advice.
