Vet Review | While this collar is marketed to quickly kill fleas, eggs and larvae for up to 8 months and ticks for up to 6 months, I personally have concerns about the safety of the main ingredient propoxar. This powerful cholinesterase inhibitor can cause serious side effects in some pets from digestive upset to respiratory difficulties to neurological problems on rare occasions in my experience and opinion. I am also concerned about human, especially child exposure to such a strong pesticide. While it is a nice benefit that the collar is water proof and works quickly, as well as being an economic alternative for those cost conscious clients, because of my safety concerns and my experience with partial efficacy, I can not recommend this product to my clients. I give this product an overall rating of a 2, with an efficacy a 2, ease of use a 5. | Currently under review |
