How it Works
Wysong Vegan is a meatless, vegan and vegetarian option for dogs and cats. In addition to essential vitamins, minerals, probiotics, and amino acids, Vegan contains flax seeds, which contribute important omega-3 and omega 6 fatty acids to your pet's diet. Although Vegan is all natural and a healthy, meatless alternative meal, it is designed to be used with a fresh meat source or in conjunction with other meat-based diets. It is not intended to be the only food you give your pet.
Nutritional Guide for Wysong Vegan Dry Dog & Cat Food:
Any sudden change in diet may result in digestive disturbances. Wysong Vegan is a unique formulation, and should be gradually introduced. Over a period of 15 days, mix Vegan with the present diet beginning at about 10% and then gradually increase proportions. If difficulties arise, return to a smaller percentage and try again.
Always keep fresh, pure water available.
The amount fed should be adjusted to maintain an ideal body weight. Do not overfeed, regardless of the pet's eagerness. Over consumption leading to digestive upset is the most common difficulty pets have adjusting to this highly concentrated, unique nutritional formulation.
The following amounts suggested should be decreased in proportion to the amount of supplementation with fresh whole foods, or other foods provided in addition to Wysong dry food. Additionally, factors such as stress and amount of activity may make it necessary to adjust the amount of feeding. If fed singularly on any given day, the following general instructions apply:
Tip: If you feed your dog or cat twice per day, cut the feeding amount in half at each meal.

Wysong Vegan Dry Dog & Cat Food
Cats LOVE It
I fed my 2 cats Ami Cat ever since I've had them. The distributor in Toronto is not very reliable so sometimes they don't have it in stock for months. I called around, found a retailer that supplied Wysong.
My cats LOVE this food.
1 cat is a finicky eater. The quintessential snobby cat. She ate it right away. My 2nd cat is a former street cat, so he eats anything anyway.
Ever since I switched to Wysong, my first cat stopped throwing up. She threw up at least twice per month for years, but it's been about a month now and she hasn't thrown up at all!
It's also slightly cheaper than Ami Cat and smells better.
Update on Ingredients
I just wanted to comment on the comments about this food not being vegan. When I read these reviews, I was just as furious as the customers pointing them. It is completely inappropriate that a company would market an item as vegan when it clearly is not. Once I finished reading all the reviews online that I could find, I emailed Wysong asking for clarification on several points. I got a reply back within 24 hours and the representative said that Wysong has since switched from the sheep wool based vitamin D3 to a plant based vitamin D2. I sent a return message asking why they ever found it appropriate to use the sheep wool D3 in the first place and never got a reply. I operate a vegan and animal welfare website and wanted to share a complete set of information with my readers. At this point, I'll have to run with the information and opinions I have right now.
The company openly admits that "vegan" is just their brand name, the product itself is not actually vegan! The vitamin d is sourced from animals. Won't be buying until they correct this.
No truth in labeling, Not Vegan
The product is labeled as vegan, but is not vegan. Customer service has confirmed sheep's wool is used for the D3. Customer service has stated that the term "Vegan" is simply the name of the product, but that the business is not stating the product is actually vegan.
Wysong is misleading their customers.
