Directions:
•
To transition your pet to a new formula, mix the new food with existing food in gradually increasing amounts. During the first 2 days, mix 25% new food with 75% old food. For the next 2 days, mix 50% new food with 50% old food and for the next 2 days mix 75% new food with 25% old food. Follow with all new formula the next day. If you know your dog is sensitive to dietary changes, transition over a longer period of time.
•
You should divide the total recommended feeding amount by the number of times you feed your dog per day to get the actual portion size per feeding.
•
Refer to the chart below to determine the suggested feeding amount.
Tip: These guideline amounts are a starting point and your dog may need more food depending upon age, activity and temperament. In order to reach optimal body condition, you may need to adjust food intake.

I only give him Royal canin 28 kibble at night, but he cries the hole day long and constantly searches for food. Please help? I really feel sorry for him, especially when he cries all day! but I really don't want him to be unhealthy!
Feed twice a day and at the same times each day which will help him adjust as well. During the day if he is hungry then give him the tiny raw hide chews. It will occupy his time and help to curb his need to chew. He's a beautiful doxy!
Thanks for your question. Helping our furry pals lose weight can be hard so to help ease the burden I would split the feedings, once in the morning, and once in the evening. This will keep his metabolism and blood sugar constant and help reduce the hunger pains. Good luck
