When we got our senior cat, (our 4th) he came with some really bad breath problems, and a touch of gingivitis. And he's one that loves to be right up in your face all the time. Decided to give these a try because I've heard good things, and they work like a charm. No more kitty stinky breath! We don't even give anywhere near the recommended per day; each cat gets 2 a day and all 4 of the cats absolutely love them. Even the antisocial cat comes out of hiding to lick my fingers looking for more. They all go on alert when they hear the bag opening. Only tried the salmon flavor so far, but I plan on trying the others as well.
dental treats that work
When rescued from a rest stop, our 'free' kitten suddenly became an expensive cat to take care of some health issues, esp. pulling of two teeth with eroding enamel. Vet wanted me to brush his teeth, yea right, but these dental treats seem to be keeping his teeth clean, as vet said they looked good with no issues seen last visit. He esp likes the chicken and beef, but did not care for the fish (or salmon, can't remember), so gave that one to a neighbor to use. When he hears the bag he comes running, jumps on my kitchen chair to watch me with expectant eyes open the bag and put a few on his plate, then he snarfs them up. He's now 5 and his teeth are doing great.
These treats work wonderfully. I have a black tom cat that has had terrible breath due to heavy tartar buildup on his teeth. A friend said to try Greenies and I did. After a month of daily feeding, the tartar is nearly gone and his breath is fresh. This saved me an expensive trip to the vet for teeth cleaning.
My son always says Zara's breath smells like fish! So i decided to try these greenies and she loves them. She has good oral hygiene but all seafood flavors are her favorite. This product works wonders!!
My 15 year old cat has NEVER liked any treats or even table food.
He absolutely ADORES greenies treats and is always begging for them!
Silly me, I left a closed, half-full large bag of feline greenies on the kitchen counter. One of my cats (I have 2) gnawed right across the bottom of the bag and scarfed down almost all of the treats (about 1/4 - 1/3 cup).
Will my cats have any bad side effects or will they just have super clean teeth?
