Impressive
One of the most impressive aspects of the 1800petmeds pharmacy services is their ability of providing to the clients many wonderful products labelled with the name 1800petmeds, that often offer equal if not superior clinical results to some of the more expensive brand name products often sold by veterinarians. . There is no better product in my experience that demonstates this more than the 1800petmeds super joint enhancer. This terrific blend of glucosamine, chondroitan and MSM makes up a vital component of any preventative or therapeutic joint health program. Readily acceptable by most pets in a pleasant pork/beef flavoring, I have found this product so effective in practice in helping with enhancing post operative healing, as well as when used over a long period of time, extremely helpful in easing joint pain and helping manage ongoing joint inflammation of degenerative joint disease. I do find even superior results when I combine the super joint enhancer with other healing agents like proanthozone, which decreases free radical inflammation, and helps strengthen the collagen that also makes up the so called glue of the joints. Along with omega 3 fatty acids like super joint omega or Be Well from 1800petmeds, I often find this triad of supplements highly successful in enhancing the quality of life of painful or arthritic pets, often sparing the need for stronger prescription drugs that may cause side effects in sensitive patients when used long term. The only disadvantages I can see is the rare case of diarrhea from such glucosamine products, or if the pet is allergic to beef or pork. And while in the human literature, glucosamine derivatives have been suggested at causing insulin resistance in humans, I have not found this to be a significant issue in our companion animals. However because of the presence of glucose in this product, any diabetic patients who stay on this product long term, should have their sugar regulation monitored by their local veterinarians to make sure there is no significant impact on blood sugar levels. Other than these minor concerns, I highly endorse this product, especially when combined with the other wonderful joint supplements available from 1800petmeds.

great!
The vet had recommended both our large dogs take glucosamine. Initially I was giving them the same supplements I was taking. However, one dog didn't like the taste and would skip eating her supplement. With the Super Joint Enhancer, she doesn't skip her dose when eating.

Does what it says.
My lab has been using this for about 2 weeks and I can already see a difference in him. He is getting up and down stairs easier, spending more time outdoors, and in general he appears to be in better spirits. He does not seem to be uncomfortable anymore. I tried this because he was in pain and if you know labs they hide their pain almost too well for their own good. They must taste great because he comes running when I say it's time to take your vitamins. Two paws up.

Awesome product
My ten year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever loves to go for rides in my truck, it is her favorite thing to do. Until recently though she was unable to jump in by herself. After just 6 weeks on Super Joint Enhancer she was jumping into her seat as if she was two years old again. I highly recommend this product.

I had been giving my dog the soft chewable joint meds and switched to the tablets. My dog, who eats anything, will not take them no matter how I disguise them, i.e. peanut butter, liverwurst, etc. Help?
AnswersAnswer:Â Maybe it's the taste. You might try glucosamine that you can get in a regular pharmacy. One of my dogs ate those with no problem while the other would usually not eat it so I switched to a dog marketed glucosamine.Answer:Â Sorry to hear you are having trouble. What I normally do, and it can be done with cheese, or ham, etc, is I place one tablet in a piece of ham and wrap it. I give my dog the tablet with ham wrapped around it and in my other hand I have another piece of ham which she can see. She will normally take down the first piece as fast as possible so she can take down the next. Hope this helps :)
If my dog is getting 2 tablets per day, should they be given together as one dose, or split up into two dosage (am and pm)? If one dose, is there a preference to am or pm?
AnswersAnswer:Â I give my dogs their pills in the morning, after I feed them.... if yours sees it as a treat, maybe give him one in the morning and one at night. I dont think there is a big difference.Note: Any trademarks are the property of their respective companies. |
