How it works: The active ingredients include glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM. Glucosamine is a natural compound that is found in healthy cartilage in both humans and pets. It helps hydrate healthy joints by increasing the production of molecules that bind and hold water in the cartilage. Healthy cartilage provides cushioning which helps protect a pet's joints while exercising. Many believe that it provides clinical benefit in the synovial fluid by strengthening cartilage and aiding glycosaminoglycan synthesis. I have been using the Super Joint Enhancer Soft Chews for my aging dog. 6 months ago I had to buy a ramp so he could get into the back of my SUV because he couldn't jump up any more. I have a 16 Year Old Lab Mix, she was having similar problems as well as joint/hip pain.
