What is the iCrate Dog Crate?

The iCrate is a collapsible single-door crate perfect for pets new to the crate training process, especially puppies. It has durable steel wires and a plastic tray to protect the surface below from any potential messes. The iCrate also includes a divider which can be adjusted if the crate space inside is too big for growing puppies. For an extra large crate for large breed dogs, try the Colossal Crate.

How it works:
The iCrate is great for:

•	Separation Anxiety – Helps eliminate your pet's destructive behavior and keeps your pet safe from unforeseen dangers when you are away.
•	Sleeping – Pets will come to think of this crate as their own room or safe space in the house.
•	House breaking – Pets do not normally urinate or defecate where they sleep, which means no accidents in the home.
•	Training with multiple pets – Using a crate can reduce the aggressiveness between pets when training.

Cautions:
The iCrate dog crates are not suitable or certified for air travel. Remove all collars and leashes while using this product. Make sure all locks are engaged when this product is in use. Do not use or rest near an open or exposed flame. To protect the finish of your dog's crate and the bottom pan, use only mild, non-abrasive cleaners and water. Any coarse scrubbing or abrasive materials could damage the finish. Although this product is compact for travel, it is not airline approved due to its folding capability.

Directions (To set up):

•	Lift the wire frame up and away from the bottom plastic tray so it stands up.
•	Secure the side walls by hooking them to the main crate frame.
•	Open the crate door using the sliding bolt lock.

Directions (To break down):

•	Unhook the side walls from the crate's frame and fold down towards the bottom tray.
•	Secure the side wall hooks into the folded down crate so it does not come apart.

Tip: If this is your pet's first time using a crate, try encouraging your pet by placing treats inside the crate. Keep the door open to allow your pet to sniff around and become comfortable with it.

Great I bought the large icrate for my pitbull puppy....he loves it! Easy to assemble and easy to push and pull around. He is now 5months and the icrate is still a great fit for him! Although I must say it can be a little bit of a hassle if the icrate doesn't fit through the door frame and u have to disassemble it lol but I still recommend. 04/09/2013

Easy to assemble My husband was out of town when the ICrate was delivered. I opened it up and without even looking at the instructions provided, I was able to assemble it myself. I placed a little blanket inside and my little dog went right in. I had debated getting a single versus double door crate but this is working well so far. No problem. 08/17/2011

It would definitely be large enough, with room to spare. I have a pit bull, he is 5 months and weighs 25lbs. He is more than happy in his corner of the house. I bought the 42x28 (i think those are the dimensions) and it's great.

Is this a good crate to use for car travel? Is there a soft cushion that fits the floor of the crate? Will the crate fold up when not in use?

Pam, there is a specific crate made for travel called Deluxe Portable Soft Dog Crate (http://www.1800petmeds.com/Deluxe+P...). The steel wire framing folds up and down with little effort, and the entire crate folds up. There is a reversible mat includes soft black fleece for a comfortable sleeping surface and a waterproof layer on opposite sides.
