What is Taste of the Wild High Prairie Canine Formula Dry Dog Food?
Taste of the Wild High Prairie Canine Formula with Roasted Bison and Roasted Venison is a hearty and nutritious meal for dogs of any age, size, or breed. Real lean cuts of bison (certified hormone free and antibiotic free) provide highly digestible sources of protein, while sweet potato and peas are used to provide your dog with high levels of energy. Whole fruits and vegetables provide vitamins and antioxidants to boost your dog's immune system. This dog food also contains proteinates (protein compounds), which help your dog's body absorb the nutrients to get the most out of the food. Taste of the Wild is grain free, which makes it a great food for dogs with intolerances or allergies to grains.

Transitioning Your Dog to Taste of the Wild High Prairie Canine Formula:
•
Days 1 & 2: Feed 75% previous dog food and 25% Taste of the Wild.
•
Days 3 & 4: Feed 50% previous dog food and 50% Taste of the Wild.
•
Days 5 & 6: Feed 25% previous dog food and 75% Taste of the Wild.
•

Tip: Digestive upset caused by a diet change can sometimes be prevented by mixing some non-fat plain yogurt in with your dog's food each day during the transition. The live cultures within the yogurt will help balance the flora within the digestive system and minimize flatulence or loose stools that are sometimes associated with a diet change.

Best Purchase Ever
I bought this dog food for my Teddy Bear Breed because i noticed she was urinating way too much from her former Dog food which was Lamb and Rice, which Lamb is very salty so needless to say my Molly loves the Bison/Venison flavor and eats her entire serving every day. I think the only thing i will do from now on is cut back the recommended serving for her weight due to the fact i noticed she has gained weight from the high Protein Content. Otherwise Great Food!

Great for a picky dog
For most of my dogs life (9yrs) he has never gotten excited over his foods. I have tried many many types of foods for him over the years ranging from the cheaper stuff to the expensive stuff. He would many nights just walk away from the dish. He has always been on the lean side and we were just wishing he would plump up. The vet suggested wet food, that didn't work, we then tried the Iams doggy gravy, still didn't work. Finally our doggy daycare provider suggested the Tast of the Wild for it's high protein content, because at least if he was only eating a small amount of it, at least it would pack a protien punch. SUCCESS! Not only is he excited about meal time, he now eats ALL of his food nearly every night! I couldn't be happier, I just wish I had found this product long ago.

Cocker Spaniel--"Splash"
My cocker spaniel suffers from sensitive stomach and also allergies of all kinds. My vet recommended Hills Science Diet Z/D(prescription diet by Rx) or Taste of the Wild. I decided to go with Taste of the Wild and it took a few days for her digestive system to get used to the food and had some diarrhea and I utilized Fast Balance which is a great product. Taste of the Wild has worked beautifully for Splash but I recommend to not follow the feeding directions on the bag because it is too much food because this food is high in protein and Splash has gained weight from it. Since lowering her intake of this food its working fabulous. It is quite expensive but worth the outcome. I highly recommend this food if your dog suffers from sensitive food/environmental allergies. I wish I knew about this dog food before this. I wish it wasn't quite expensive though. They also have wet food to go along with it. I used it for awhile but Splash doesn't need it on top of the dry food. She loves it; just lower the amount of food it states to give on the bag.

Excellent Dry Dog Food
My dog has very particular likes and dislikes when it comes to dry food and I, too, am very picky about what she eats... only organic high quality food for my friend! This dog food fits the bill for both of us. I cut in some Castor and Pollux adult dry food and the 75/25 mix is now her favorite blend!
