What is Taste of the Wild Feline Formula Dry Cat Food?
Taste of the Wild Feline Formula foods are hearty and nutritious meals for cats of all life stages. Real lean cuts of meat and fish (certified hormone free and antibiotic free) provide highly digestible sources of protein, while sweet potatoes and peas are used to provide your cat with high levels of energy. Whole fruits and vegetables provide vitamins and antioxidants to boost your cat's immune system. This natural cat food also contains proteinates (protein compounds), which help your cat's body absorb the nutrients to get the most out of the food. Taste of the Wild is grain free, which makes it a great food for cats with intolerances or allergies to grains. This dry cat food is a great complement to Taste of the Wild Canned Cat Food.

How it works:
Each batch of Taste of the Wild is cooked with water that is purified through reverse osmosis, the same process used by popular bottled water manufacturers. This helps to remove any microorganisms, organic and inorganic chemicals, and ensures the meats and meat meals are steamed (cooked) with purified water. Taste of the Wild provides your cat with a hearty meal that is not only delicious but also provides essential vitamins and antioxidants to stay healthy and active.
Transitioning Your Cat to Taste of the Wild:
•
Days 1 & 2: Feed 75% previous cat food and 25% Taste of the Wild.
•
Days 3 & 4: Feed 50% previous cat food and 50% Taste of the Wild.
•
Days 5 & 6: Feed 25% previous cat food and 75% Taste of the Wild.
•
Day 7: Feed 100% Taste of the Wild.
Tip: Digestive upset caused by a diet change can sometimes be prevented by mixing some non-fat plain yogurt in with your cat's food each day during the transition. The live cultures within the yogurt will help balance the flora within the digestive system and minimize flatulence or loose stools that are sometimes associated with a diet change.

no more throwing up!
Garth threw up constantly since he was a kitten. I tried at least a half dozen cat foods before i landed on this one...Salmon Flavor.
He doesn't throw up any more. The improvement began with his first bowl of Taste of the Wild.
He likes the taste (actually all he ever says is "Meow, Meow, Meow...but he eats it willingly), and so does his 'brother'.
PetMeds price is so much lower than the pet store's price it looks like a typo!

Best cat food
I have tried so many brands in the last ten years. I have a cat that always throws up for no reason, I switched to Taste of the Wild venison and since then no cats are throwing up! I have 4 cats, two Maine Coons and I clean up after them constantly. I switched to this food about 6 months ago and haven't had to clean anything up! They love it and I also see a difference in their coats, they are shiny and softer. They seem to be more energetic too! I am so glad I came upon this brand and I recommend it to anyone with cats. My cats are indoor too! So I believe they are getting nutrients that are healthy for them.

Common sense with any feline...
When you introduce a change in diet, food,
for any cat, it IS logical to do it slowly...I mixed
in this new Wild Dry Food in with his "old" store
bought brand & for a day or so he sniffed the
Taste of The Wild & ate only a few, but left
most in his bowl until second day. Now he actually
meows for me to pour it into his bowl & this is
something he has not done in 5 yrs. with the
older brand. After a brief week he now only eats
Taste of The Wild - yes, it might have a "smell" to
it, but goodness, so does people food! That's what
gives us all appetite! Ahhh, the aroma!

Love...love...love
My cats really love this food and the price is great. It's hard to find a good quality food without paying a small fortune for it. The only thing is that I wish the first ingredient was chicken rather than chicken meal but it's the next best thing.

What would make YOU fat? No exercise or mental stimulation + poor diet with "fillers" & chemicals. This is logical: play with her so she"ll hunt, bounce around. Read what's in the food, is it all fatty & filled with fillers or is it something you'd want her to ingest? Cats are not like dogs, they usually eat what IS GOOD for them. No harm in spilling out abit more during change of climate - don't you also eat more or eat less during colder or warmer days?
Thank you for your question Sunshine, your cat will only become fat from this food if she is overfed. With premium cat foods such as Taste of the Wild, you can feed them less and get better nutritional results.
We carry the highest quality foods however none of these manufacturers recommend specifically for pets with Diabetes. We provide all the ingredients so you can discuss with your vet. Dr Dym Dvm Wysong foods are one to consider for pets with Diabetes
