great to perk up older dog
I have given my 11 year old terrier mix these vits for about a year and he acts like a 1 yr old. Runs, jumps. catches the ball and has fun. His coat is beartiful.
He will not take them as a treat, but I crush them in his food and he eats it all. His vet check ups are good. Can't say for sure it is the vit, but he is healthy,bright, active and he was slowling down before I started this.

Great vitamin!!
I cant think of a more versatile and complete multivitamin I must have in my practice than super Vitachews for dogs. Many other multis have only trace amounts of these critical anti aging nutrients, but super vtiachews have truly significant levels of these nutrients so that they make a real difference on the long term health of your dog. I have rarely even seen a dog turn down the delicious beef flavored chewable tablet, and this is a must in all dogs, especially those past mid age who so need these extra antioxidant vitamins and minerals. Having the reliable and trustworthy labelling of 1800petmeds also allows animal guardians to get such a wonderful supplement at a very fair price. Being more of a holistic oriented veterinarian myself, I also love the fact that this wonderful product is made with no sugars or preservatives. The only negative problem I have seen is in those dogs who are sensitive or allergic to the beef flavoring. I rate this vitamin an overall 5, with an effectiveness of 4, and a definite taste of 5 on the 1-5 scale. Dogs love them!!!!!

Didn't like
I bought these thinking it may help Maggie with her mobility problems. But the bigger problem was getting her to take them. No matter how I gave it to her or what it was disguised with she wouldn't eat it. It smelt alot like medicine when I opened the bottle. Not sure why she didn't like them as she has always had no problem eating anything else.

Mommy, Where's my VitaChew?
Our Girl Leia expects her VitaChew with breakfast daily. I admit she is a 70lb dog and I only give her one daily (compared to the 3 it suggests) but I can still see a big difference from just before we started giving them to her to the present (about 2 months later). She is more active for one and not as stiff. Her coat has changed dramatically from a rough, not so fun to pet, coat to a soft and cuddly one. We are SO happy with the results and if I ever forget to put it on her breakfast she sits and refuses to eat until she has had it. Time to order more!

Great supplement
I have two really old dogs and they love this supplement. I feed it to them out of hand and they chew them right up. I really think this supplement has contributed to their longevity. It's a little expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

I have an 11 year old Miniature Schnauzer that only weighs 11 pounds. She has been taking Pro-Pet Puppy & Small Breed Daily Vitamin Supplement. Do you recommend this vitamin for an older small breed dog? Is it harmful to switch from one vitamin to another? The vet just had me make the change from regular dog food to mature dog food and I didn't know if this change would be too much at one time. She is very healthy and her blood tests come back with results of a much younger dog.
