What is the Small Folding Dog Ramp?

The Small Folding Dog Ramp is a sturdy yet compact bi-fold pet ramp for dogs and cats weighing up to 200 lbs. It measures 42 inches long which makes it ideal for the side doors of a van. With the Small Folding Dog Ramp, your pet has a secure inclined surface to safely get in and out of your van. Although pet ramps are often used to help senior or arthritic pets, they can also be used to help younger pets reduce the risk of developing arthritis.

How it works:
The Small Folding Dog Ramp is great for helping senior or arthritic pets climb in and out the side doors of vans. No assembly required. Simply unfold and set the ramp in place.

Cautions: Do not use to load people or other objects.

Directions (To set up):

•	Unfold the Dog Ramp and place on a firm surface with carpeted mats facing up.
•	Watch for pinch points while unfolding the pet ramp.
•	Be sure the pet ramp is secure and all four corners are supported before allowing your pet onto the ramp.

Tip: The side latch helps to keep the ramp securely folded if you need to move or carry the ramp.

How to Purchase the Right Pet Ramp for Your Dog or Cat
•	Is the pet ramp for short or tall areas? The taller the area, the longer the ramp will need to be to reduce the incline for your pet.
•	Make sure your pet does not exceed the individual pet ramp weight limitations.

Older yellow lab I purchased this to help my 12 year old yellow lab get in and out of my dodge grand caravan side door. I've coaxed her up it with treats and time will tell whether she will get used to it. It would be nice if it were a little longer to make the grade less steep and were wider. I believe this would be perfect for a smaller dog, she weighs about 75 lbs. It is sturdy and light weight, I'm hoping to teach my old dog a new trick because I know this will help her a lot! 02/23/2012

Can you use this on the outside of pet door where ther is a bit of a drop.

I have 2 small dogs and we recently installed a pet door in the wall. However, there is about
a 10 inch drop and I have
a stool there which they are afraid of. Would this work?

I believe it would work, you would have to secure it in place. It's sturdy, has a non-skid surface and is made of heavy molded plastic.

No, it would be way too steep for the rear and the only hope would be through the side door. I use it with a caravan and would prefer if it were less of an incline

No it would be too steep. I'm using it for a grand caravan side door that is 18" off the ground and it's at about a 65 degree angle. If you increased it to 28" it would be close to a 45 degree angle. The longer ramp may work,

Can ramp be used to get up on a bed?

I don't want it to slip from the side of the bed. The description sounds like it needs to be latched onto something for it to be sturdy.
