What is Plush Foam Dog Steps?

The Plush Foam Dog Steps are different than traditional dog steps. Instead of a squared step, the Plush Foam Dog Steps have rounded edges, which makes it easier for pets to climb up to and down from tall furniture. They are greatly beneficial for pets with joint and back problems. They are made with high-density foam, so they can support up to 100 lbs of weight, yet are very lightweight for easy transportation when traveling. They can be used in multiple rooms of your house wherever there is tall furniture and they come in 3 sizes to accommodate most pets. They also come in a variety of colors to match most home decor.

For:

Pets up to 100 lbs

Benefits:
  • Helps pets onto tall furniture
  • Easier for pets to walk down than traditional squared steps
  • Great for pets with back or joint problems
  • Helps pets recovering from injury or surgery get on and off furniture
  • Outer fabric unzips and comes off and is machine washable
  • Rounded steps available in 4 colors of soft suede-like material
  • Lightweight and easy to maneuver
  • Comes in 3 sizes to accommodate most pets
How it Works:

Most steps for pets are squared and have a large gap from step to step. But the Plush Foam Dog Steps are rounded, closer together and have virtually no gap from one step to the next, making it easier for pets to climb up and down. They help pets get on and off of tall furniture, without having to jump and cause strain on their joints. Pets who have undergone surgery can use these steps while recovering to get up onto the couch, chairs or even the bed comfortably. Senior pets and pets with back and joint issues can easily get up and down off furniture without having to worry about the transition being painful or causing more stress on their body. Smaller pets with shorter legs benefit by the short distance from step to step. Pets who do not like traditional squared steps may like the Plush Foam Dog Steps due to the shorter distance between steps. Available step colors

Cautions:

For Pets Only. Do not use as a human step stool. Do not use or rest near an open or exposed flame.

How to Use
Directions:
  • The Plush Foam Dog Steps require no assembly. Just take the steps out of the box, situate them against a tall piece of furniture and coax your pet into climbing the steps instead of jumping onto the furniture. Try using a treat or a favorite toy.
  • Cleaning for micro-suede covering: When you want to wash the Plush Foam Dog Steps, just unzip the covering using the zipper on the side and remove from the foam. Wash separately in gentle detergent. Lay micro-suede coverings out to air dry before putting foam back
Tip:

Be patient with your pet while teaching to climb the steps, since you want him or her to feel comfortable about using the steps. If a treat doesn't work, maybe a toy will coax your pet.

Plush Foam Dog Steps is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use Worried that my small dogs were jumping from the sofa onto hardwood floors regularly and possibly damaging their joints. Also, I had surgery, and was not able to pick them up onto the sofa. The medium steps came fully assembled in one extremely light box. I put next to the sofa, helped them understand how to walk up and down - once - and that was it. Saved my back, and they learned a new trick. Great purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny! I got these steps about six months ago and am so glad I did. My older Pug uses them very easily. They have held up very well and blend in well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for dogs of all ages! If you have a small to medium-sized dog with a larger body and delicate little legs, get these steps now, even if your dog doesn't yet have any mobility problems! You (and your dog) will be glad you did! I have two pugs, and when the older one started to not want to jump up or down anymore, I originally tried plastic steps, which neither pug seemed particularly fond of, and the older one would barely use at all. Then I found these steps, and both dogs use them very well. They both sort of hop up them but run down them. It is much easier on their legs. I wish I had been using these steps all along! Yes, these steps might seem pricey ( I bought the large size because it's taller.), and they do take up a little space, but it has been one of the best purchases I've ever made!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back Saver I have had the foam dog steps for several years now and have not second guessed this purchase once. I had tried one of the other stairs available but my labs would not use it. I think it was too steep and scared them. The Foam dog steps works perfect for getting the dogs in and out of our Rav4. One of our labs is 13 and very arthritic. He was not able to jump in and out of the car so we were having to lift him in. Lifting a 90+ lbs dog in was not easy. With the foam dog steps, he was able to walk right up into the car, He can't get up the steps without assistance now but it is a lot easier than lifting him up and in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't be happier! I had some doubts about these steps because my dog is afraid of steps in general. He had his ACL replaced last year and has bad arthritis. We have a high bed and it was hard on him jumping on and off. These steps answered our prayers! They are very durable and sturdy and he is not afraid to use them! He weighs about 80 pounds too so we got the large set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heidi is using it! I just received it 20 minutes ago, and she's already using it with her little legs to get up and down on the bed. She is a 14 pound, 9 year old dachshund with one bad kneecap, and a little bit of hip arthritis. Since it's made from high density foam, it acts as a shock absorber, making it easier on her joints. I bought the large for the bed, and will buy a smaller one for the sofa.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome!!!! Best purchase ever!! I tried other steps, but my two small dogs wanted nothing to do with them. Then i got these steps, my dogs LOVE them!!! Awesome!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just right for an arthritic dog My 17 year-old bichon could no longer handle the pet steps to the bed or couch. I bought the Large for the bed. I had to help him walk down a few times, by supporting him under his belly, but then he became confident and since then he has been able to walk down by himself; no more struggling with steps. What a relief! I ordered a second one for the couch. A little pricey, but worth it.

Are the sides of the foam rubber steps also foam?
Asked by: TC
These steps are made with high-density foam, and are not made with rubber.

Do you have pictures of the various colors? The video is vague and the color selection only lists the colors by name. Thank you.

Asked by: Natrojai
You can see each color by selecting the color then a size and an image will appear with that color step.

taller steps please?

My little yorkie is getting older and it's hard to climb the steps to my bed. We need at least 30" high. Is it possible to have one ordered? Thanks kindly, Deborah Fry
Asked by: Deborah
Hi there, this does not have a 30 inch option however the "dog steps with 4 steps" has it over 30 inches Here is the link below: http://www.1800petmeds.com/Dog+Steps+with+4+Steps-prod60716.html

You have two questions regarding the height of the large size..

One answer states 21" is the tallest plush step size. The other states 30" is the tallest. Which is correct? My bed is shy of 26" tall and even if the tallest is 21" I don't see why it wouldn't work. The hard steps sold recommend the 23" 3-step for a 31" bed. Why wouldn't the 21" work for a 26" bed?
Asked by: Di
21" is the height and 30" is the depth. My bench is 25" high and the large foam steps work great with it.

Would these slip on wood floors?

I have wood floors and I'm wondering if these will stay in place when my dogs are using them?
Asked by: Bella
I have these on wood floors and I put a small rubber piece underneath them immediately because I didn't want to risk movement. I've taken part of that out but what I have decided to do just for safety sake is get a wood floor carpet pad and cut it to put under it so there's no chance of the floor getting rubber stuck to it.

Step depth

Can you give me info on the depth of the steps for small and medium size products. I need a 4 inch height for each step. Thanks
Asked by: Nancy
Hard to measure- The edges are more scalloped than square steps. My short legged Pug uses them easily. Hope this helps.

Have you had anyone complain about the Black Vinyl being to slippery?

I'm getting this for my 3 dachshunds, since steps are too steep. I like the black vinyl, but I'm worried they might not be able to get traction to climb the large steps.
Asked by: The Sadlers
Thank you for your question. The steps should be fine for your furry pals to use without them slipping.

What do you recommend for those of us who have beds higher than 30"?

Asked by: May
Thank you for your question. At this time, the highest steps we will are 30 inches in height.
