How it works:
The Ortho Sleeper for Toy and Small Dogs includes 3" of orthopedic medical grade foam, which helps reduce pressure on the body and helps blood circulation. The bolster is filled with premium polyfill made from recycled plastic bottles and is made with upholstery grade velvet.
In addition, it is covered in super-soft microfleece - which does not shed. Senior and arthritic dogs benefit from this bed since it provides a thick bolster needed to ease the strain on their neck. Also, the bed provides relief from aches and pains with its ergonomically designed bolster. Lastly, this bed is also great for cats to snuggle into and purr themselves to sleep.
Moggie loved this bed as soon as I put it down. She feels snug in it, and rests her head on the edges. Her paws stick out sometimes, but not sure if it's because it's a touch too small for her (she's 14 lbs), or she likes it that way. I am going to buy the larger one and see which she likes better.
Love this bed. I have four dogs. Two are Border Terriers and one is disabled. I had purchased an indoor/outdoor bed that I thought would work for the disabled fellow, but it was too high and causing him pain in a rear leg. Since he can't jump very high, I was looking for a bolster bed which had a low height opening for him to get into the bed. This ortho bed did the trick. He loves it.
Within a couple of days he was walking okay again, maybe even better than before the other bed. I ended up ordering another ortho bed for my other Border Terrier since she was wanting to share with her son. Now they are both content with their own beds.
Free shipping was great, overall price was very reasonable in comparison to others (and I spent about two hours online researching ortho beds and prices.
