What is Now Fresh Grain Free Dry Dog Food?

Now Fresh Grain Free Dry Dog Food is a unique dry dog food made with 100% fresh meat from simple protein sources consisting of fresh turkey, duck and salmon. Now Fresh Grain Free Dry Dog Food does not contain grains, gluten, wheat, beef, corn or soy, rendered meats, by-products or artificial preservatives. It does contain omega oils from coconuts and canola for skin and coat health, and provides natural antioxidants, and prebiotics and probiotics for digestive health. Plus the ingredients in each bag of Now Fresh Grain Free Dry Dog Food are slow baked at 194° to maintain maximum nutrients for adult dogs.

For:

Adult Dogs

Benefits:
  • 100% fresh turkey, salmon and duck
  • No rendered meats, animal by-products, added growth hormones, artificial preservatives, grains, gluten, wheat, beef, chicken, soy or corn
  • Provides omega oils for skin and coat health
  • Digestive enzymes help strengthen your dog's digestive and immune system
  • Antioxidants help support increased immunity
  • Slow baked to help retain nutrients
  • Great for dogs with gluten or grain allergies
How it works:

Now Fresh Grain Free Dry Dog Food was developed with veterinarians and certified nutritionists to ensure your dog receives the necessary nutrition needed to maintain an active lifestyle. It is slow cooked only once to preserve nutrients, which are typically lost in many commercially processed foods. Although other grain free dog foods may contain higher levels of protein, this excess is ultimately eliminated through your dog's urine, offering little to no benefit to your dog's health. Coconut oil is used in each Now Fresh Grain Free recipe and assimilates directly through the stomach lining, which ultimately breaks down into simple sugars to be used as energy. Coconut oil is also believed to have antiviral benefits by reducing the risk of gastrointestinal issues (inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatitis, and food allergies). It also helps to promote healthy skin and coat in combination with canola oil. Plus, prebiotics and probiotics help your dog's digestive tract.

Cautions:

None.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase ever. Manny loves this food. He had been getting sick quite often over the last few months. It was determined that the food he was eating was the cause. He is allergic to red dyes and gluten. Glad I found this brand. I always use name brand products for my pets and I always research those products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Camper WOW, me and the doggie are happy. She has had digestive problems for a year. She is a year and a half old. I have spent plenty of money at the Vet's trying to get to bottom of it. At. this point she is taking 5mg of prednisone every other day. Since she started this food last week, huge improvement, and she loves it. I think she is allergic to glueton, and am hopeful I can get her off the meds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Food For Your Dog! I always wondered why my dog did not have a shiny coat.... then I started feeding my chihuahua "Now" and his coat is so shiny and soft. Plus I noticed he goes number 2 more often.. I know it is more expensive but it definetly worth it. My baby is worth every penny.. Dogs give you unconditional love and are always there for you! This is such a small price to pay for a lifetime of Love.......

Q&A

Where is this manufactured?

Where do the ingredients come from, is any part of this dog food a product of China?
Asked by: frida
Hi there. the Petcurean Company oversees all of its production processes including the adding of Chinese Taurine; with each batch tested for safety and quality. The majority of Taurine manufactured in the world is produced in China and because of the recent attention given to Chinese made products, companies such Petcurean are taking the initiative to make sure that their raw ingredients are safe for pet consumption.

Now Fresh Grain Free Senior Age

At what age is my Shih Tzu considered a senior for this dog food brand?
Asked by: ShihTzuZoey
You would want to ask your vet to determine if he believes your Furry Friend is at a senior age.

Is Now Senior dog food low in sodium?

My 7 yr old beagle, Peanut, was diagnosed with congestive heart failure the end of Dec. 2014. She needs to be on a low sodium diet and my vet told me to get "senior" dog food. Would Now Senior Dry dog food be a good choice for Peanut?
Asked by: Louise
Hi there, the "Now" senior grain free dog food line are great products however if a dog food does not list "low in sodium" then its definitely not going to work for you (since your Furry Friend has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure). You would need to speak to your vet since he/she will probably have prescribed "prescription dog foods" that will definitely be low in sodium for your Furry Baby.

Do you sell a 12 lb. bag of the NOW small breed formula dog food in addition to the 6 and 25lb options?

6 pounds is too little and 25 pounds would take forever for my small dog to eat? It would be nice to have a medium option.
Asked by: Lindsay
Thank you for your question. At this time, we do not carry the 12lb bag.

I have a small breed (Bichon) and a large breed (shepherd mix). Which one of these foods are best for them?

Asked by: Riaellena
Thank you for your question Riaellena. Of the two formulas, I would recommend, Now Fresh Grain Free Adult. You would follow the feeding instructions notated on the bag. With the small breed fomula, your Shepherd mix, would need a twice the amount.

Thanks, Chris B.

You said the Petcurean Company oversees all of its PRODUCTION PROCESSES so I guess I need to restate my last question. Does Petcurean actually test and approve or disapprove the China-made Taurine before it is added to the specific dogfood of yours I asked about? Thanks so much.
