Has really helped! This product has really helped clear our German Shepherds skin allergy. She seemed to be soothed by its use. She found relief from the itching and redness cleared up by the next day! Very gentle. 09/27/2013
Works, but we can't use it Our little dog had skin that was turning dark due to a yeast infection. Very hard to get rid of once it takes over your dog. This product certainly works, but our dog's skin was sensitive from her condition and this shampoo caused her to scream in pain. Unfortunately, for it to really work, you need to leave it on for a while (at least 5 minutes). So we had to stop using it. It must have been stinging her very badly for the screaming to occur. 09/24/2013
Great product Since I began using KetoChlor on my precious missi her dry skin and odor has improved dramatically. Her skin used to be so dry and extremely flaky. She would always scratch really bad. Her skin had developed a really bad bacterial infection and she smelled awful. I tried many things but nothing helped. KetoChlor was the best thing the veterinarian prescribed. At first I had to bathe her every other day. Now I bathe her with it once a week. The bacteria, the odor and the dry flaky skin is gone. I'm happy and missi is happy. I definitely recommend this product. Thank you petmeds 09/07/2013
My dachshund had broken out with red bumbs on her belly and eventually it was all over her. I took her took the doctor and they did test after test. They ended up putting her on allergy pills and hyperallergenic food. None of that worked and I was about to take her to a dermatoligist when I decided to look around for something to help her. I found KetoChlor on 1800PetMeds and she has been bump free now for 3 years. She also is off all the allergy meds and back on regular food. The only thing is that I wished that it came in a bigger bottle. I would recommend this to anyone's dog who is suffering from something like this. 11/20/2012
Overpowering Scent I had high hopes for this, but its overpowering scent made it impossible for me to use. I spoke to the vet about this before she prescribed it. We have allergies at our house and if the people can't function (go to work, etc.) , the dog doesn't eat. I wish that they would make a version without the added perfume. Lots of dogs for which this is prescribed have allergies. Not a smart move to put a strong scent in a product intended for use on sensitive animals. Medicinal smell would be better than this. Smell aside, it was somewhat helpful, but not earth-shattering. 01/24/2012

I have a horse who has ringworm. Vet says to bath him twice per week for 4 weeks with the KetoChlor. He is a standard sized horse roughly 1000 lbs. How many bottles do I need to treat him?

Answer:
You will need to ask your veterinarian if this medication is appropriate to treat your horse and also how often you will need to apply it. Each bottle contains 8 ounces of shampoo so you may need quite a bit for a horse.

Don't have a definitive answer, but it must be at least a year and a half since that was the time from when we purchased ours until its expiration date. My guess is they rated it for maybe 2 years. That said, ours is over the exp date by a year and still works.

Answer:
Cher,

Thank-you for your question. The bottles we have in stock currently will expire July and August of 2014. The bottles will typically have a shelf life of about a year or so when you receive the product. The expiration is on the bottom of the bottle. Hope this helps!
