How it works: The active ingredients include glucosamine, Perna Canaliculus (green lipped mussel), and MSM. Glucosamine is a natural compound that is found in healthy cartilage in both humans and pets. It helps hydrate healthy joints by increasing the production of molecules that bind and hold water in the cartilage. Healthy cartilage provides cushioning which helps protect a pet's joints while exercising. Many believe that it provides clinical benefit in the synovial fluid by strengthening cartilage and aiding glycosaminoglycan synthesis. Further research on the effectiveness of glucosamine is still needed, but many of our customers find it to be very beneficial to their pets.
Cautions: Diabetic dogs or dogs that are overweight and have problems with glucose tolerance should have their blood sugars monitored if they are given glucosamine supplements.

THEY WORK
when our heidi went on Glyco-Flex 111 she could hardly get up, at times we had to help her up.
After Heidi finished the fist order we saw a difference,
Heidi has been on them a few yrs, she is able to play, what a difference, give them a chance to work especially in a large dog.

Doesn't seem to make much difference
I have a 8 yr Rottie who is experiencing stiffness and pain in his left shoulder. Have been on Glyco-Flex II for 1.5 yrs - didn't seem to make a difference. Moved him over to Glyco-Flex III and this doesn't seem to help much either with his joints. Additionally for chewable tablets it doesn't seem that any of the dogs will take them unless broken in half and hidden in some kind of treat. Will be checking out other meds to see if they will be any better

Good purchase
I ordered Glyco-Flex for both of my large dogs, 70-85lbs. Jenny is 8, Bogart 7. Jenny gave us quite a scare last year when she suddenly wouldn't walk and was really sick. Vet said hip dysplasia/arthritis. We put her on Rimadyl and she did better. Lately she's been moving better, so ordered the Glyco-Flex. She appears better to me, but have not been giving it long. Bogart refused to chew, but I break in 1/4's with a small treat and he is taking that fine. I hope we can cut back or take her off Rimadyl and will let you know.

Great results
My older (adopted from a shelter so not sure of his age but somewhere between 10 - 13) 85 lb. mixed breed dog was suffering from a lot of stiffness in his hips and also was having some trouble with the stairs. Since I've had him on Glyco Flex III he is like a pup again. I tried many other products but none have given him the relief that this does. He won't take the tablet by itself, so I crush it up and mix it in some plain yogurt and he cleans it up completely.

glyco flex 3
My dog hasnt been onit long enough to see if it works yet, but it would have been good to know the tablets are bigger than a quarter in size, she wont eat them. Ineed to crush them and put them in canned food for her. so far she takes them this way.

purchase the glyco flex 3 based on the ingredients. My question is, should I just give him 1 tablet per day maintenance amount (he weights 70 lbs) right away since he has been taking the other tablets for a while now?
Along with glucosamine and MSM (also used for joint health), Glyco-Flex III also contains Perna Canaliculus (green lipped mussel) which is a source of chondroitin.
Cal, yes, you can give Glyco Flex 3 to a dog who is 4 1/2 years old. It would be a great joint supplement, and will help offset joint issues from developing. Click on the "How to Use" tab to see the proper dosage based on the weight of your dog.
