How this product should be used:
Use once a month on your cat or dog by emptying the entire contents of the Frontline Tritak tube between the shoulder blades. Avoid getting the product in your pet's eyes or mouth. Discard the empty applicator tube in the trash.

What are the side effects:
Sensitivities may occur after using any pesticides. Your pet may experience some temporary irritation at the site of the product application. If signs of sensitivity occur, please bathe your pet with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs persist, consult a veterinarian immediately. The most common signs of ingestion are foaming at the mouth and excessive salivation.

What special precautions are there:
For external use only. Do not use on puppies or kittens less than 12 weeks of age, or those under 4 lbs. As with any product, consult your veterinarian before using the product on debilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals or animals known to be sensitive to pesticides.

If in Eyes: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes and then continue rinsing. Call a poison control center for further treatment advice.

If on Skin or Clothing: Take off contaminated clothes. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control center for further treatment advice.

If Swallowed: Immediately call poison control. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so. Have the person sip water if he or she is able. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

How should I store this product:
Store in original package in a cool dry place.
Directions:
Hold your dog or cat firmly in place with one hand.
Invert the tube of Frontline Tritak over your pet between the shoulder blades and use the tube's tip to part his or her hair.
Squeeze the tube to apply all of the solution to your pet's skin.
Hold your pet for a few seconds or until all of the solution is absorbed into the skin.
Wrap the empty tube carefully and place it in the trash away from your pet.

Best topical flea preventive I have used. Better than their other product Frontline Plus Don't want to give oral flea preventive due to damage to internal organs over time. After all, your pet is ingesting pesticides. Tritak works better than Frontline Plus. Have along haired dog; lasts 30 days. Fleas die before they bite because of the fur. Less long term concerns about usage over the years. Most of the oral flea products have NO long term studies. I live in the South so a flea preventive product is an absolute necessity. 09/18/2014
Beware side effects I wasn't too impressed with the k-9 advantix and wanted an oral flea control for my dog but my vet suggested I try this. My dog, a Lhasa apso/cocker spaniel mix, got a steroid injection for allergies and had the frontline applied at the vet around 7 PM. I took him home and went out, and when I came back 2 hours later he was rubbing his eyes against the ground and shaking his head. I didn't think too much of it and took him for his walk. During the walk he was practically running and jumping from place to place (definitely not normal for him) and again rubbing his eyes against the ground. He was also licking his lips, but the vet told me to expect increased drinking so I didn't think anything of it. I got back to the house and attempted to clean his eyes, only to discover they were red and bruised looking. His face had swollen to 3 times its size, as had his paws. I rushed him to the vet where we also discovered he had hives all over his body. They injected him with Benadryl and bathed him. I cringe to think of how bad it could have been if he hadn't gotten the steroid injection on the same day. If you use this product watch your dog closely for side affects. 09/12/2014
Works as advertised Our dog is a 21# cock-a-poo who had never had fleas until we used the Walmart brand flea/tick (waste of money). Saw that Frontline w/Tritak was effective on animals that live in the Southern states and tried it. We apply as directed, once per month, and don't bath our dog for a few days afterward. It works as advertised, ticks are DOA and no fleas, even though our dog spends quite a bit of time outside in the woods. 08/25/2014
Garbage - waste of money! I've been using this product for nine months and it STILL hasn't taken care of our flea issues. We've had to have the house professionally treated because it's so bad. We are still vacuuming up dead fleas (residual killing effect of the exterminator) and our cats still have a problem. 08/22/2014
The vet gave us Tritak for our Female Saint Bernard who was infested with fleas & has a flea allergy. The poor thing had bald spots from itching & she was Miserable! Within 24 hours all the fleas were gone off the dog. 24 days later, her hair is growing back nicely & the fleas IN the house is also gone. Our vet told us to treat the house & vacuum daily. She is much happier now. I am very pleased with this product & I will keep her on it! 06/24/2014
