How it works:

1-800-PetMeds Flea3X for Cats contains fipronil, a safe and effective ingredient that veterinarians have recommended to protect pets from fleas and ticks for years. Fipronil is a broad-spectrum insecticide which disrupts the central nervous system of fleas and ticks. What is this product used for: Flea3X for Cats is a flea and tick preventative that provides flea and tick control for cats and kittens. It is effective against all stages of the brown dog tick, the American dog tick, lone star tick, and deer tick (the major carrier of Lyme disease). Flea3X also kills chewing lice, is fast-acting, long-lasting, and waterproof.

Availability: Flea3X for Cats is a non-prescription (OTC) product.

How this product should be used: Use Flea3X for Cats, on cats and kittens 8 weeks of age or older. It is available as 0.50 ml applicators for cats of all weights. Wait 24 hours for product to dry before bathing or grooming your cat. Do not reapply for 30 days.

To use Flea3X, invert the tube over your cat and use the open end to part your cat's hair. Place the tube on your cat's skin between the shoulder blades. Squeeze the tube and apply the entire contents of the tube in that one spot. Use only one applicator per treatment.

What are the side effects: Cats may experience some temporary irritation at the site of product application. If signs persist, consult a veterinarian immediately.

What special precautions are there: Do not use on kittens under 8 weeks of age. Use the entire contents on each cat. Do not split one tube between cats. Do not use multiple tubes on one cat. Consult your vet before using on debilitated, aged, or medicated cats. Can be used on pregnant or lactating cats. Consult a veterinarian before using on cats with known organ dysfunction. Cats may experience temporary irritation at application site. Certain medications can interact with pesticides. Sensitivities may occur after using ANY pesticide product on cats. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your cat with soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs continue, contact your veterinarian immediately.

Harmful if swallowed. Causes eye irritation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet.

If swallowed: Call a physician or poison control center or a doctor for treatment advice. Drink 1 or 2 glasses of water and do not induce vomiting unless told to by poison control center. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

If in eyes: Hold eyes open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, continue rinsing. Call a physician or poison control center or a doctor for treatment advice.

If on skin: Wash thoroughly with plenty of soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation persists.

In the event of overdose: Contact your veterinarian or veterinary emergency room.

How should I store this product: Do not remove tube from pack until ready to use. Store in a cool (below 77°F) dry place inaccessible to children and pets. Do not refrigerate and protect from direct sunlight.

Directions:

•	Make sure your cat's skin is in good condition in order for the fipronil to spread naturally throughout the skin and protect your cat from head to tail.
•	Removed the product tubes from the package and separate one of the tubes from the others.
•	Hold the tube with the notched end pointing up and away from the face and body, then use scissors to cut off the narrow end at the notches along the line.
•	With one hand, spread the fur on your cat's back between the shoulder blades and invert the tube over your cat.
•	Use the open end of the tube to part the fur completely and squeeze the tube firmly to apply all the contents onto that one spot.
•	As with any flea and tick preventative, wash your hands and any exposed skin that may have come in contact with the solution with soap and water.

PUUURFECTION! This product is the best! My roommate's pup had fleas and ticks (ugh) and we have been trying to rid the house of them before it became an infestation. flea3x for cats I wanted to find a good flea meds and wanted one that will work on my cats but I was looking for something afordabel and not have to pay a lot for a good flea meds then 1800petmeds came out with there own brand and I thought I would give it a try to see how good it works I have tried 1800petmeds brands before and they worked so I go the flea3x for my cats when I saw that it did mosquitoes also I was so amazed how easy it was to put on my cats the tubes were so easy to use better the fronltine plus tubes.Then as soon as i put the meds on the cats and the meds started working with in a hour and the fleas started to die and my cats were not itching at all with in an hour i really love the way it worked as fast as it did and how it kept the fleas off of them also i would really recommend 1800petmeds to anyone that has cats and wants a good flea meds and to fit there budget this is the best meds to get 06/04/2012

Flea3x for Cats... YES! I have 4 cats, 2 strictly indoor, 2 in & out. I live where there are "sand fleas", even if you do not have pets, you will still get fleas, all my neighbors pay expensive exterminators.. But I have had GREAT LUCK with flea prevention methods. No longer support Frontline, but the best method is treat yard, house, and pets and switch products every once in a while. I use AdvantageII, and swap to Flea3x and it works Great! No need for 3 week applications, every 4 weeks works great for me and my family, even under "severe infestation" time of the year 05/17/2013

How far out is the expiration date?

The 6 pack will not be enough to get my two cats through the summer but the 12 pack is too much. Will the unused doses still be effective next year?

Hi, :) This will kill the fleas on your Furry Friend , it does not do the eggs and larvae. By the way, It does not matter how many fleas he/she has however you would need to treat the area or house if it is a bad infestation. Treating the pets alone will not resolve the issue at had.

If you have not taken chage over the surroundings and bedding, it might be to your advantage to clean up the bedding and spray around the outside area. try it again it really works.

Thank you for your question and I'm sorry to hear your feline buddy still has fleas. Flea3X is an excellent product for flea protection. There maybe fleas in the home and to combat that problem you will need to:
Wash the cat's bedding in hot soapy water.
Use a household flea spray to target carpet, fabric furniture, and curtains.
Disinfect floor surfaces.
