Fast Balance-G.I. 47 47
Fast Balance Fast balance: From one of the most trustworthy and reliable neutraceutical companies in the veterinary profession called Vetri-science, and their wonderful long record of perfomance with holistic oriented vets, comes a very effective short term treatment of diarrhea of many causes. The specialized yeast extract in this product is loaded with B vitamins, health promoting bacteria like lactobacillus(known as acidophilus), as well as enzymes and other healthy bacterial flora for our pets' digestive tract. Because almost 80 percent of our pets immune system starts in the digestive tract, it is critical to maintain optimal health of the bacterial population so that proper digestion can occur and so that the immune system can function to its fullest capacity. I have found this product most helpful in acute cases of diarrhea of practically any cause, and most pets do indeed love the taste. The only negative I have seen is that with larger dogs, the high dosing sometimes makes this product a bit expensive, only lasting a few doses when given short term. While it wonderful to use long term as well in supporting the digestive tract, because of the amounts used per serving and the subsequent expense, I will sometimes use other digestive aids, enzymes and probiotics on more of a long term level because of the economics of it. However because of this superior efficacy on the short term, I give this product an overall rating of 4.5. Taste a 5 and ease of use/efficacy a 4.5 as well. 04/13/2009
Great but the applicator sucks I have been using this for my cat. She has stopped puking and even put on a couple of pounds. Only set back is it is hard to use. I pump out a small amount and have to mix it in with moist food for her everyday. 04/05/2015
Best I've found! I have a baby with Manx syndrome and all the irregularity and incontinence that goes with it. It has worked where multiple other probiotics have failed...and in 24 hours! Will always have this on hand! What a blessing! 02/11/2015
Good concept but needs an innovative application I have two shih tzu's. My female just had puppies and I am giving her less than recommended dosage while she is nursing because she was suffering from diarrhea since giving birth but since using this product (3 days) her stools have hardened up a bit and are now soft stools and hopefully will get her normal with further use. (Product does caution that safe use in pregnant animals and animals used for breeding has not been proven hence the low dosage as a precaution.) She loves the taste and gives me no problems licking it off my finger. My male shih tzu abhors it completely and turns away from it every time it is offered. I have had to apply small dosages to turkey bites to get him to eat it and even then he won't accept his favorite treat from me anymore and will only eat it if my wife offers it to him and will do so with some reservation. We can't figure this one out except that he just doesn't like it but it has helped him as well. The applicator should include a specially sized tube to make administration of the product easier for situations such as these in which case I would give it a higher rating. My male doesn't seem to trust me anymore because of the ways I have had to fool him in to consuming it. One of which was putting the dosage on his upper lip so that he would have to lick it off. I regret using that technique now and should have just dabbed his treats with it as I am now doing. Overall, it does stop vomiting and diarrhea pretty quickly IF you can get them to take the recommended dosages which is why I believe a tube for the applicator would help. All dogs are different and some are extremely difficult (like my male) but losing his trust while trying to help him hurts. But then again, kids don't like the taste of medicine 12/25/2014
Sweety does not care for the taste I gave her one dose so far ,the stool is better ,but at the same time Sweeety has been taken the probiotics for more than a year ..every day. 11/20/2014

My kitten is having a hard time with her digestion and I'm just wondering the right time to start treatment with something other than food remedies. Thanks for the help!
Answer:Thank you for your question. There is not an age limit but we suggest consulting with the vet prior to the use of this.
i've tried everything to help my dog get rid of diahrrea, any suggestions that will help?
Answer:Stop wet foods and meat completely and only make dry cereal available, following up with dosages of fast track GI from pet meds. Our pets have a way of training us instead of the other way around but in this case you will need to enforce some tough love for their own good.
Answer:We are so sorry to hear about this. Please consult with your vet in regards to proper treatment.
Answer:Please consult your veterinarian in regards to this issue.
Does anyone with cats have any tricks to get their cat to willingly take Fast Balance? Especially in such large amounts as 5 cc's 3 times a day? And what do you do when they have GI upset and won't keep anything down or take it? Anyone feel like fighting an elderly cat is just not right? Will not lick off paws. Thanks!
Answer:Make life simpler for you AND kitty by using a single dose of Diagel for cats instead!
Answer:Squirt the paste into her mouth. She'd almost have to eat it unless she spits it out... Most cats will end up eating the medicine/paste/stuff that you put in their mouth if it's gel or paste or something of similar consistency. Try to get it on the back of her tongue or mouth.
Answer:Putting it on the pack of the paws always worked, I am sorry that is not working for you. The only thing I could suggest is give a very small amount about 1/5 of the normal amount you would give them of wet food with it mix in there. Otherwise you may want to speak to the vet about other alternative methods. :)
Do I reset at the 5cc level each time it's given to my cat, or does it move by 5cc (from 5 to 10 to 15, etc.) each time it's used? Does it need to be shaken to get it back down towards the cap?
Isabeau & me
Answer:Set it up 5 cc's for every application depending on your pet's weight and the guidelines.n your case. So 1st application is 5 cc's second application put it up to 10 cc's, third application it goes up to 15 cc's Keep upping it in increments of 5 for each application and no more. Thats it. Good luck
Answer:When you twist the dial circle to 5cc for the first time and press the plunger down it stops the administration of the paste. Then when you do it the next time you need to move it up by 5cc which would then show 10cc. Then the next time it would be 15cc, etc. Just move it by 5cc each time.
