This did not work for my dog. I used it for her coat and allergies. She did not like the way it tasted. I ended up changing her food to a better brand that is good for skin allergies. Will never buy this again.
My dog has multiple allergies that are environmental and plant based. She licks her paws constantly like it's her duty to do so and itches alot. I thought the Yucca Intensive would help her allergies but unfortunately it did nothing! She is on doxepin and hydroxyzine which also don't cure the ailment. I also give her fish oil. She is a wheaten terrier mix and five years old. I'd give anything to find a cure!
spot;our 14 yr springer; has been on yucca for 3 yrs now since his vet diagnosed him with severe arthrits in his feet, elbows, and in both knees wich have each had ligiment surgery . he still loves to run and jump like a 3yr old and loves going to the dog park to play with out yucca he is limping badly can put no weight on his left hind leg offten falls over and is just miserable. but with yucca the tail is always going; he's such a happy dog.
Our Yorkie would scratch a lot, sweat and smell bad. She would rub along the wall. Immediately after giving her Yucca Intensive she stopped doing these things. Truly a wonderful product. Thanks to the sales person who told me about this product.
I ordered the yucca intense and omega 3 from pet meds. The items arrived within 2 days after ordering them. I started my 8 year old black lab who has some joint problems. I have him on novox 175 mg. daily he weighs approx90# I give him the omega3 and novox at the same time in the am and add the yucca intense to his food in the evening. I have noticed that he is more active playing more than before. the combo seems to be working for him well. and hope it continues to do so .
Is Yuca safe to use of your pet is on Rimadyl, Tumeric 800mg total daily, Bromelin 250mg daily, Boswella about 1000mg daily, plus vitamin E, fish oil, and chewy joint supplements?
I met a lady yesterday at PetsMart who had her Golden Retriver with her that had many large lumps. I told her that my little Jack Russell was just diagnosed with fatty tumors. She told me she had tried everything and finally someone told her to buy Yucca and her dog was doing great and a few of the tumors had actally shrunk. Have you heard this happening before?
I can find information that supports the use of diet, nutritional supplements such as DMG, or CoQ-10, and homeopathic treatments such as Thuja. I cannot find any information regarding the use of Yucca to treat fatty tumors.
Can this extract be put into capsules to make it easier to administer? AND, if so, does it need to be diluted first? I really would like someone to answer this for me. thank you.

A:
From what I read, it is only diluted because the taste is bitter, I would go for the capsules if its easier for you.
Since this product needs to be diluted to 1 drop in 1 tablespoonful of warm water or apple juice for each 10 lbs of pet' body weight, the volume would be way too large to fit into a capsule. However, the diluted quantity can be added to and mixed with the pet's meal, yogurt, cottage cheese, or peanut butter.
If your pet is undergoing chemotherapy, I would not recommend giving or using any product without first verifying that it's OK with your veterinary oncologist.
I don't see why you can't put it in capsules, it seems that it only says to dilute it because the taste is so bitter. Hiding it in peanut butter should be plenty to hide the taste.
