Knock out Fogger
Over the years, when it comes to the name Virbac, I am usually always assured that the product with this name on it will perform well and reliably. I have used one variation or another of their knockout environmental flea spray or fogger for years. Years ago before all of the recent topical flea/tick pesticides came out like front line and advantage, we were always taught at meetings and in veterinary school how important it was to treat the environment of flea or tick infested dogs, as most of the flea life cycle occurs in the environment on the pet's bedding, rugs, furniture, etc, rather than directly on the pet. . And while many of these more recent topical flea/tick pesticides say that they work on immature flea larvae and eggs, I have not always been impressed, and I have still found it more effective to continue to use environmental products like this, along with great products like advantage or front line in truly having a comprehensive and complete flea/tick program that truly works long term on many levels. When I was living in Florida back in the mid 1990's, I found products like Virbac's knockout fogger so valuable in not only helping control flea popluations in an area of the country where fleas can be a problem throughout the year, but also helping control other pests like ticks, cockroaches, spiders, ants and palmetto bugs in those sam areas. The inclusion of not only products that kill adult fleas quickly and directly in the environment, but also insect growth regulators that help sterilize fleas and their eggs for up to 7 or 8 months. , is a big plus when using this wonderful time and tested product. The only real drawback I have found with product they carry at 1800petmeds. is that I usually prefer flea/tick environmental sprays for the home, as opposed to foggers, which often lose their efficacy in distant corners of a room and/or from a considerable distance from where they are released into the home. . Even with this limitation, I give this product an overall rating of a 4, with an ease of use a 4.

Didn't work for long.
The fleas disappeared for a few days and now they're back. I am furious that I wasted my money on this product. Save yourself and buy something that works.

STUNNED THE FLEAS
I purchased Virbac Knock out Fogger because VET KEM was not available at 1-800-PetMeds. It stunned the fleas, but within a week the infestation was back. I did all the usual, washed the cats with flea shampoo, bombed the apartment, put advantage II on the cats, (all within 24 hours) but nothing worked. I have just ordered VET KEM on line through a different business, since that product has been tried and true.

Thank you for your question Jaxxmon, VIRBAC KNOCKOUTâ„¢ AREA TREATMENT: Protect your home from fleas and ticks with this aerosol spray that kills adult fleas and ticks and sterilizes flea eggs for up to 4 months. One can covers approximately 2,000 square feet.
We have a finished attic, a finished basement, and our main floor. Will the Virbac Fogger reach all the areas? The square foot needed is correct. I am just unsure if it will reach all areas. Thanks.
You can first start by using a flea bomb for your home and vacuum your entire home including cracks and corners. You should also shower with soapy water two times a day. Comb your hair regularly with a special flea comb specially designed to remove fleas. Applying ice to the infected area will help relieve some of the itching to the flea bites. Other treatments include the use of menthol, calamine lotion or camphor to the bites. Insect repellents that contain DEET will also help to keep you from getting flea bites. If that doesn’t work it may be wise to see an allergist for treatments.
