this is not for cocoa. it is for schnopps he has just started it. i have to cut it in 2 an put it in something he does eat it that way but it may take some time to notice much improvement.
He will take pill in mouth but drops and will not eat it. It must not taste good. In my opinion don't buy this product. I need to find another way for him to loose weight
My min pin has lost 4 lbs and breathing is so much better. she is playing again! I read where dogs didn't like the taste but tried putting it in a pill pocket and have no problem!!
VETRI-LEAN WORKS WELL OUR PEEKO HAS LOST 3 LBS AND HIS BREATHING IS BETTER NOW EVEN THOSE HE HAS C O P D THE VET WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH HIS WEIGHT LOSS
I purchased this product, along with lots of exercise and measured my pets food. I didn't see any results at all. This product doesn't work. Don't waste your time.
My Chihuahua is 11 years old and last year we found out that he has a Mast Cell Tumor on his left front paw. His foot is too small to have it removed so he?s being treated with antibiotics (1/4 twice a day), pepcid (1/6 twice a day) to protect his stomach, a liquid steroid that I have to put on his foot in addition to all the meds. His vitamins include: 800-Petmeds Breath Refresher Chewable, Nordic Natural Omega-3 soft gels, Revolution tick and flea, Super Joint Enhancer Soft chews, and the 800-Petmeds Vita Chews. With him being on all of these meds, will the Vetri-Lean Plus Chewable harm him in any way? He is overweight and needs to lose a few pounds, will this help him out?
I do not think you should add another product into the mix of products you are already giving your pet. If you feel your pet is overweight, you should control what and how much you are feeding him, and increase his exercise to the best of your ability.
Would the medication be ineffective or significantly less effective if I sprinkle the tablet in my dog's food? He refuses to eat the pill. The directions for use say to take it 10 minutes before each meal. I would kindly appreciate a response from the pharmacist. Thank you!

yes it can be put on the food it says it under "how to use". but please be careful this product has nutmeg in it witch is unsafe for dogs.
Ambee, good question. While nutmeg in very large quantities can be harmful, it is very safe in small amounts. There is a small, very safe amount of nutmeg in the Vetri-Lean Plus.

Some dogs are 'Stomach' Driven or 'Food' driven. It doesn't make any difference how well they eat, they'll eat anything in front of them. We have two dogs that are 'Food' driven and one that is not. The one that isn't will walk away from any kind of food when he has had enough. He is slim, trim, and happy. The other two are grossly over weight.
