"Can't say enough good things about this product!"
I have a 10 year old dachshund who started showing signs of mild to moderate arthritis about 6 months ago. I was so sad to see him lying down and wanting to get up when I called him but he physically couldn't. I was also worried about how we would treat his arthritis considering most canine NSAIDs commonly used to treat arthritis are liver-toxix and Raleigh already has a compromised liver from a congenital defect (hepatic MVD). I had remembered a homeopathic vet I knew once had recommended Traumeel for Raleigh when he sprained his back and neck. I started him on 2 pills a day (am & pm) and within a couple days he had no problems getting back up from sitting or laying. And within a week, he was running around like a puppy through the park. He seemed as thrilled as I was to be able to move comfortably and have fun again at his favorite place on Earth...the park! :-) Since using this product for Raleigh I have told every dachshund or senior dog owner I know of this product. I've given people the name while waiting at vet's offices. I couldn't be happier with what it's done for my little man. I've also used it for my foster dogs after spays/neuters, for a dog who had skin inflammation from severe demodex mange, and I'm using it down for a dachshund with severe dental decay & a very sore mouth (dental scheduled for a few days from now.) I wish more people turned to homeopathic options for their pets. =)
I gave my cat dooks 1 tab 2x's a day, the dosage said up to three times per day. I let the pill sit in a little cat food gravy until it dissovled then mixed it in. She drank it right up. It made her pretty much just sleep all day. I had to pick her up and put her on her box. She literally wouldn't get up all day. However, on a really bad pain day that is not necessarily a bad thing. She is 14 and weighs about 28 pounds so she is about the size of a small dog. The pills are just general pills for dogs, cats or humans. So I tried one myself before bed. I was a bit tired in the morning, kind of like after you take a sinus pill. So for Dooks, I'm saving them for bad pain days. I have metacam for super bad pain days and she takes joint stress relief drops 1-2x's a daily, along with the pet meds glucosamine chews (which she loves)daily. So it fits nicely into her regime when she needs it.
My lab mix, Radar, has hip dysplasia, and I wondered if this product would work. I am AMAZED and so pleased that he seems to be doing better on this homeopathic product than with the prescription drug he was on previously. I put one dose in peanut butter, so I don't know if he likes the taste or not, but he does not eat around the other two doese that go in his food the way he managed to do with the prescription! Time will tell about side effects or long term efficacy, but right now I'm a very happy camper!
Our 2 y/o Bullmastiff has had a TPLO on BOTH knees and we give him Traumeel after exercise. It seems to help and spares him taking Aspirin or other anti-inflammatories.
Is Trameel ok to take with Finasteride and Piroxicam? My dog is unable to take Tramadol because he has a history of seizures and we are trying to look for an alternative medication for him.
The dose of Traumeel for a cat is 1 tablet 3 times a day. You can give the tablets using a Pet Piller device or you can use a Greenies Pill Pockets for Cats.
